Vince Young , Vince Young, Vince Young that guy is a winner. Some of those plays down the stretch were amazing. You can see he is the real deal and the Titans are on the way back up in a very short amount of time. He played those last drives like he was in the USC and Michgan games last season. He's the next generation Steve Mcnair, cant say enough about him.

I agree, the guy is just a winner. He definitely has "it". But it takes more then "it" to be a great NFL quarterback. He HAS to improve his mechanics. To his credit, I did see him stepping into his throws today. That's a start. He almost always threw flat-footed at Texas.`

Good observation I didn't notice that until you mentioned it.

He is strong, and a good runner, with a strong arm, but he will never be a 60% passer.

Titans record on the season 4-7.

3 of their wins are Giants, Commanders & Eagles.

Lost in VY's debut to Dallas. I don't care how good or bad he is, I'll take that and thank him all day long.

He was last night and who is to say that if he keeps improving his mechanics and continues to study defensive coverages that he couldnt?

Every now and then yeah sure he will get to 60%. But his release is 90 degrees, and i don;t think he is all that accurate.

his completion % is awful, yeah he will improve but not improve enough to be a 60% passer.

these are his cmp% in his starts

48.3
47.6
52.0
46.7
41.7
52.0
36.4
68.5 today

He would need MAJOR improvment. and with that delivery i don't see it.

Hey i may be wrong i have been before, but i doubt it

Dropped passes are lowering his completion percentage as well

How do you actually know that?????? You have know idea what VY will be able to do in the future, half of you guys were saying his test scores were to low for him to be a good QB....

Settle down, it's just his opinion.

And I agree with it. I don't think he'll end up being a 60% passer. But he doesn't have to be to be great. Completion % doesn't determine which QBs are great and which ones suck. Depends on the offense he plays in. If he plays in a WCO, then it would be bad if he can't hit 60%. If he plays in the offense Aikman played in, then it would be a major accomplishment to be a 60% passer (Aikman did it, but IMO he's the most accurate QB in NFL history. I said "accurate" not the qb with the best completion %. If Aikman had played in the WCO, he would of broke completion % records).

Meh. If Kiwanuka doesn't pull a complete brain fart this thread doesn't exist. Ditto Eli Manning

Credit to Young for taking what was given him, but the absolute man love being thrown around for what was essentially handed to him by the Giants is a little over the top IMO.

I have no idea if he will be a QB someday or not. BUt if he was all that the Titans wouldn't have been down 21-0 with 10 minutes to go in the first place.

Just sayin.

I dont need to settle down, I know neither one of you can forcast his completion % in the future....

Hey, Nancy, it's called an OPINION. Everyone here has a right to one.

Don't like it? Well then, internet message boards probably aren't for you.

Yennor,

dont waste your time. rack thinks his feces doesnt stink. youre right he cant predict what his comp % in the future will be.

you have to understand since he played DE at some small college he thinks that his opinion matters more than most when it comes to football. when talking with him keep that in mind and youll be fine.
