Do you have a key on your keychain that you cannot remember what it is for?

This happen to me today. I've got a a single key that I have no idea what it's for. It's happen before, but usually several years after I move to a new home.

Yes I have one on my key chain as well. I did not know what it was until I read your post and I think I have an answer to what your key is to and what my key is to.

Why would anyone have a key in their pocket that doesn't get used daily, weekly or monthly. You might as well carry rocks in your pocket.

To answer your question, I quit carrying unused keys on my key chain when I was in my early 20's.

This happen to me today. I've got a a single key that I have no idea what it's for. It's happen before, but usually several years after I move to a new home.

Years ago I learned how to locksmith. I cannot stand having a lot of keys. I have some storage places in various areas and all of them are on the same key as my home. All of my padlocks are keyed alike. On my keyring there are 7 keys. They get me into 2 vehicles, my mail, padlocks, the toolbox on my truck, my home and storage places.

I have keys to my church too. As soon as I was put in charge I re-keyed the entire building and put a copy of every locker and room in the building in a lock box. My church key chain has 3 keys. A master key that gets me in every door and classroom, my desk, and my file cabinet. In my desk is the key to the lockbox. I won't even put one extra key on my ring.

I am basically obsessed with key control.
