The money spent on Dak is gone. The team just has to suck it up in the least painful way possible and move on as quickly as possible.

You dont agree with drafting a QB in the 1st? So what would you do?
:muttley:  at 25 nope

we have 2023 to fill needs and to continue this painful b2B 12 win seasons and playoff berths success, sucks hard to be in the 2nd round and losing by 7..worst team to ever suit up .... windows still open, MM was brought here to take mostly young but full of Vets team and get them further, its still possible, unless you think the last 2 seasons somehow don't count as successful. Yup blow it up its hard to watch LOL

.

maybe 3rd rounds sure..if that player's worth taking. You all act as if our first player we make a move with as daks successor we will hit on.. about 15 teams in the nfl would disagree or would like to know the 1-8-00 dial up a top 10 QB number you are keeping a secret. LOL
facts we used about 13 QBs from Aikman to Romo and most were hard to watch. those were horrible years, these last 2 years are the opposite end of those years.

Ok...so we waste 2 years of not grooming because we cant bench Dak? Why cant we? Owner Ego?

I guess I am not seeing why we cant bench him and start grooming a new guy? Because we are taking steps backward with a rookie which would lead to locker room issues?

I just dont get the hardline of Dak cant be benched or drafting and starting a rookie is impossible.
Grooming who??

First Off, hes not played like a player that needs to be benched..thats a fan thing and its being emotional.

hes still a top 10 player at qb and that guy you think he should be benched for doesn't exist yet and until he is Daks the qb.. They don't grow on trees...

Ok...so your position is Dak is an ok QB and we still have a window, so we should ride or die with Dak the next two years instead of wasting the good squad we have by taking a step backwards with a rookie QB.

Thats all I was trying to figure out.

I agree...its ride or die with Dak, bench him and start grooming or find a possible trade partner that Dak agrees to waive his clause for.

Im saying that if the Cowboys are over Dak and they know they dont want to resign him or know that he wont sign a team friendly extension...you might as well draft a guy and start grooming him even if it means taking a step backward.

We need a timeline of implementation. I love the guy- it's just not going to happen for him in Dallas. So let's move swiftly.

What are we facing?

Q2:

**Would anyone be supportive of sending a #1 to SF for Trey Lance if the 49ers win the SB?**
The 9ers know that Lance is a bust and will do anything to get rid of him.

Aaron Rodgers?

Draft Duggan?

In the meantime, I just root for Joe Burrow, who will be the best player in the NFL n the next year or two.
I don't watch a lot of college football outside of Michigan but Duggan was not really good against them. Does he look better than that normally? - I am sure he will be in our range of availability.

You can’t move swiftly with Dak he’s under contract and it could take a lot of time finding a better option. He’s going to be the QB next season whether some of you like it or not. There’s teams that have been looking for a QB for years. Some of you think it’s as simple as moving on from the QB you have, find another one and Super Bowl here we come. Lol

NO he isnt ..sorry that a major overreaction.

Daks being piled on right now but his top 10 status like 6-12 maybe hasn't changed and replacing that with an unknown and expect to get better, is bigger overreaction and risk to add pretty delusional to think its that easy...

Might want to blame the OL, Schultz, Gallup the entire offense for that loss. add no run game lie the last 3 playoff losses, shaky pass protection CD only threat and somehow this is QB issue AGAIN?? im sorry these threads are delusional, especailly given Daks Contract with NT clause, NO FT clause, dead cap money and again a top 10-12 QB who are hard to find..

B2B 12-win seasons, a 2nd round playoff appearance, and a 7 point loss and the blow it up cut the qb at all cost etc etc these are just ridiculous unrealistic plans.
The game was over the moment Pollard went down.

TCU doesn't have the rosters of those teams. I would wait until the 2nd or 3rd round.

Brady/Roders and go all in
Tank next season and draft Caleb Williams
How can we get Rodgers or Brady, go all in and tank at the same time. If we get Brady or Rodgers that means we are going all in and not tanking. So what you said has to be one of the dumbest things I heard of that makes absolutely no sense

I felt the same way when Romo was playing, the grass isn't greener on the other side if you've been paying attention to Dallas from Aikman to Romo.

Fastest escape would be to sit him on the bench and keep him there until he demands a trade. Not going to happen, but that is the only way to shorten he contract. Just have to wait it out.

Just be careful you don't put any of the blame on Dak, wouldn't want him to feel any pressure to perform.

Oh wait, you never blame Dak
Nevermind

if we were to find a trading partner for Dak, do we still have to eat all that contract? asking for a friend?

didn't say without blame

i said blame them all as a unit, once the OL plays that poorly it pretty much throws off he entire offense ie no run game9 16 runs pretty much decided pollard goes down, no malik, yup also play calling issues attached to this), lack of protection, and being one dimensional against a top defense will never work. he had reasons for playing poorly, VERY obvious reasons i ALREADY LISTED.. they are facts not excuses..

dak should be miracle worker, take trash and make gourmet meal.

lmao, yeah like jason garrett was going to be a better coach without Jerry. oh my you can't make this crap up. Heck Moore isn't a miracle maker, what can you do with a guy who can process what he sees? sheesh, maybe do a Goff for him, let him attempt to read one side of the field, or have somebody upstairs just tell him who to throw to before the mic is cut off. sheesh
