What is the future of Marcus Spears?

I'm not going to be all giddy about him. But he seems to be pretty powerful and apparently is not struggling to play inside in the NFL, which is surprising to me. I never thought he was awful quick in college, but he was a pretty solid player. Could he be a starter at NT at some point? He seems as big and strong as Ferguson to me. Or is he a better value at end long term, since Ferguson will likely be around a while?

I think he was projected as a swing man for us at DT/DE.

He has the size and power of a DT, but also had the ability to go outside for DE in the 3-4.

I think his ability to go in and out allows us to find other DE/DT and swap Spears to the other spot. Ratliff-Spears-Canty. Spears-Pepper-Canty

Young and has potential. Well, at least Canty and Spears do so far. Let's hope Pepper and Ratliff show some too.

Spears and Canty are going to be Stud 3-4 DE's. Great adds!

Spears is too tall to really play NT. We really need to get a young guy that we can work into that slot in the next year or so. Ratlif needs to develope more but I see him being a solid guy as well. Johnson- we shall see. We have more then enough on the D line now. Canty, Spears, Ratlif, Johnson- all with lots of talent.

He's a bookend DE with Canty.

Unless of course my dreams come true and we draft Mathias Kiwanuka and move him to DT.

Hopefully, a future without knee braces.

I like Spears alot. But does he seem a little slow off the ball? I think he would really shine if he didn't give the offense a head start.

I would love to find a 375 lb block of marble that we could put at NT. About 6-1. Quick feet with a mean streak the same size. Would eat up ANY center in the NFL one on one. Has to be doubled on every play. Ought to be able to find one like that somewhere.

All lineman in Dallas wear knee braces.

Saved Spears this season wearing one.
