What is the magic that makes Parsons so much better?

Athletically, Parsons is a unicorn. 240 lb players with 4.39 speed basically don't exist. And among the few that do, guys like Jaylon Smith or Devin White never had Parsons's burst or change of direction.

At edge rusher, when you start talking about DEs with Parsons level speed, you get into some rarefied air like DeMarcus Ware or Von Miller. And I think he's stronger than either of those two.

Not the only ones.
Man, the scouting reports on Micah were just spilling over w/ how good he was going to be. There was no reason for him to not go top 5. We should've been considering trading up. Trading back and taking a chance on missing out was quite simply one of the stupidest things this franchise has done. His floor was being a good solid player for the next 10 yrs.

Interesting.
I'm old school. I like the old Star Wars. Those were a fun ride. IMO, in the new ones they took this fantasy way too seriously. Way too much time spent on negative stuff. And the guy w/ the big ears was poorly done.

I agree with you that Phantom menace was a mess. They botched it pretty bad.

He has the heart of a lion and the desire of Satan. Lol You can't coach up that. You either have it or you don't.

Oh, throw in competitiveness to that.

Without those 3 traits, my man Manu Ginobili would be just a JAG instead of a HOF basketball player.
Growing up in San Antonio I was used to nothing less than being perennial contenders because of Duncan and Manu, so that's what frustrates me about the Cowboys and Jerruh

They don't have the drive that my Spurs growing up from the 90s to 2017 had.

Then it all fell apart around 2018 when Popovich became more interested in being a social justice warrior than coaching basketball and Kawhi decided he didn't want to be a part of the team anymore.

Physical talent. Boat loads of it. As well as a high football IQ. That play on the screen yesterday was heady.
It was indeed a great play, I couldn't stop laughing looking at LVE though. Either he had no idea the RB coming his way, or the Man had glue on him and LVE couldn't disengage

His physical tools are clearly off the charts and place him in the "freak" category but it's more than that.

He clearly has a brain in that skull and understands the game as well as having a desire to soak up all the info coaching can give him to get better.

That "1%" extra though is just his insane desire to win. I was watching the podcast, Pivot and he was still moaning about the game of Scrabble they played the last time they got together for the Pivot.......comedy to see him that way! The man clearly has the sheer will to be the best and that's carrying him to greatness in front of our eyes.

When you take talent and the desire to win along with studying you get premier athletes.....

also, you never know where he's going to line up......he could be at LB he could be at DE he may be on the left side he may be on the right.....

Generational talent and a team player. He does what is asked of him. Probably would play RB if asked.

Question would be is he the best player from that draft at this point?
