What is the magic that makes Parsons so much better?

He is not unusually large. He is not the fastest human ever. Even if he was, what makes him that way? Does he have better vision?

Does he work out harder?
Did he have a better coach or trainer?
Is his DNA unique and providing higher than average speed, vision or brain power?
Does he study his opponents more than others?

How can we get other cowboys up to his level? Is it teachable? Can they train like he does?

Can what he has be shared or taught?
recognition skills and fantastic change of direction, plus his first step. his first step is so dang quick. he is got fantastic response at the snap. that puts him a step ahead in almost every play. just watch in slow motion how quickly he gets off at the snap and the OL men, knowing the play call, are seemingly at stand still. he gets to his top speed very quickly and can change direction on a dime, almost like a CB or WR. His body control and balance is fantastic. just plain fantastic. they should watch films of him to learn. in fact I predict that's what they will use.

Genetic Athletic Prowess cannot be taught. That's just a roll of the dice from Mother Nature and our parents of course.

Passion, Determination and Relentlessness cannot be taught.

Love, companionship and leadership(Yes, I believe this is either innate or non-existant) cannot be taught.

You either have it or you don't.

Everything else can be taught!

It's from his internal drive. He's not happy with just being good physically. Where other players stop and think they are really good he pushes himself to be better, constantly. He has the hunger of a lion on the hunt and anyone with the football is his prey.

Rare athleticism combined with elite speed and genuine desire to be the best.

The only explanation I can come up with is genetic engineering.

He is part of a program that has been going on for a long time as it is starting to come to fruition all over the world.

Micahel Phelps was another example. His body was engineered to swim fast. His dna was mixed with dolphin dna, while micahs was mixed with lion dna. An earlier poster mentioned wayne gretskey. I would guess he was mixed with canadian hockey moose dna

go Larry....go Larry

Yep I still remember it like yesterday and how Dierdorf let the audience know that this was something special.

Still one of my all time favorite Cowboy plays. Big men like that just aren't supposed to be able to move that way.

The best.

There isn't a single human in the NFL with his size and weight faster then him. He literally beats our wide receivers in foot races. Dude is a genetic monster with the drive to win that is un matched.

Exactly.

But there's another guy like him in the NFL, well, almost like him. Amare Barno, but he doesn't have quite the impact.

Micah has excellent speed, strength, agility, and other natural talents, Few have those but there are others who do.

What makes Micah special is his commitment to maximizing those abilities through accelerated training, rigorous conditioning and long hours of study.

That is part of his special desire to be recognized as the best. He knows he has to earn that every day.

There is also his love of the game, especially certain aspects of it that might be considered somewhat.....violent?

Micah Parsons loves to hit.

His athleticism for his size is incredibly rare. His burst, speed, agility and flexibility are off the charts.

He’s improving as a pass rusher but it’s scary to think he can still continue to develop more pass rush moves.
