What Is The Real Plan With Lance?

Garappolo maxed out his talent. Lance never was any good.

I'm thinking you're not aware of what developing a player means. Some can be developed and some can't. No matter how good/bad a team is at developing a QB, you're not going to make filet mignon out of a turd.

Purdy has shown definite signs of being elite.
Purdy actually played QB in HS and College.

W/ Purdy's level of instincts for the QB position, not suprising. Kid sees things most QB's don't. Way too soon to anoint, but he's Bradyesque in this.

A couple months earlier, Lance visited the University of Minnesota for a recruiting event and was all in to be a Golden Gopher. However, Lance said coach P.J. Fleck, then in his first year with the team, saw him as a safety at the college level. Almost immediately, recruiting services changed his position from QB to ATH. Lance can't be sure the change happened as a result of Fleck not offering him as a quarterback, but when his designation changed to "athlete" so fast -- he noticed it on his ride home from the Twin Cities -- how could he not suspect it?

Interesting how several years later he is still listed as a great athlete. Looks like P.J. Fleck was onto something. Maybe Jerry wants to convert him to Safety.

What he's most Bradyesque about is having the good fortune to have landed on one of the best teams in football with one of the best coaches in football handing off to one of the best running backs in football throwing to one of the best receiving corps in football and all backed by the best defense in football. We got a clear view of what it looks like when some of that went missing and Purdy was asked to be the man. No huge deal because very few QBs with less than a season's worth of starts are ready to shoulder that kind of load. He still has time to develop but I'm going to keep the top on the anointing oil bottle for now.

Yeah, I already said that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's only part of the equation. Even a QB who has an uncanny instinct to see the field needs receivers who get open. (Duh).

I think you may want to take a little more time and watch this kid, enjoy the talent level. Kid has got something special abrewin'!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being that he's not an elusive runner, I'd guess that he lacks the lateral agility to cover as a S.

They offered around 32-33 mil on a deal, and Dak accepted. And then renegged on it. So, no, it's not true they could've signed him for 25.
Yes it is. That was the price when the Cowboys should have redone his deal years ago. Even if it were 32-33 that is still a lot cheaper than 40.

Since Dak agreed and then renegged, what should they have done?

Instincts? Brady-esque? Jesus H Christ, you sound like a SF fan.

Most QBs play QB starting at little league. As a matter of fact, if you don’t start there and move into 7 on 7, camps, game invites, & showcases, you’ll never have a chance to get a sniff at a starting role in high school and exposure for college.
