Honestly guys, we got Ramsey literally a year ago. Byron Jones is the equivalent of Ramsey. I dont know why so many are upset that we didnt take him over Elliott. At least we know Elliott is a RB, Ramsey projects better at safety than corner, and doesnt want to play safety. You dont allocate 26 million to a guy who doesnt even know what position he is better at, or a guy with 3 picks. I dont care what people say, he was targeted plenty and didnt come away with the ball. At least with Zeke we know what we are getting.

Yes I agree, Iooked at how he compared to Deion, he's slower not the same kind of athlete.Probably a good safety but a great cb no, and at 4 he better be the next Deion.

I don't understand it either. He's without a doubt the perfect slecimen for the defensive back position, but watching him at Florida state I never got the impression that he was dominant, nor a game changer. He loved to press at los but was confused, slow to react, and sometimes completely ineffective in space... at least not anywhere near #4overall caliber play.

This is not a fair comparison, anymore then saying Elliot had better be the next AP. If you are going to hold Ramsey to that standard, then you have to do the same with Elliot and the odds of Elliot being the next AP are pretty slim IMO.

I agree that the player you get at 4 should be a HOF cornerstone player for you but we just picked a player who may not even be with this team in 6 years.

What some people here complaining won't take into account is when Ramsey, was being scouted by the Cowboys as possible selection at 4 what position did they see more as a DB, or S in this guy they may seen him as a safety but probably didn't see enough in that department and seen him more as a DB and that is why they may of passed on him but Jacksonville also sees him as a DB and will use him as such and as you mentioned for a guy that highly regarded as Ramsey, he sure didn't produce a lot of turnovers during his time at Florida State and that may have also scared them away from selecting him but Ramsey isn't here and I wish him the best in Jacksonville.

the same can be said of EE. We already had a running back on the roster that was the 4th overall pick. he is faster, and had more yards in college too.

You already know the answer to this. Some of us think he's a great prospect and would been a better investment than Elliott.

You can never have enough cb/safety hybrids that our coaches can never even find a position for.

Because he was the #1 rated DB in this draft, and with 4 DB's unaccounted for in 2017, in a league where you have 5 of them on the field for a majority of snaps, it seemed like a pretty smart investment. He was a world class athlete, was regarded as probably the best defensive prospect, and didnt have baggage.

Not saying it was the right pick, but its easy to see why.

yep. there is a reason 2 running backs were picked in the first 60+ picks and a dozen or so corners were selected

Janoris Jenkins got twice the guaranteed money that Doug Martin got. Doug Martin was All-Pro. Jenkins didn't make the Pro-Bowl. There is a lot more margin for error with CBs than there is RBs. Ramsey is a much better athlete than Elliott too, BTW. Seems like an odd thing to question.
