Sucks I cannot create a poll.

What was worse for you as a fan? For me it was the Campo years. Those teams were horrid. Zero hope. Worse QB ever for the franchise.

3x 5-11 years with Campo
3x 8-8 years with Garrett

8-8 is worse.

did you know despite 17 years of this nightmare, we've only picked once in the top 5 of the draft. we are very good at ruining our draft position without making the playoffs.

give me three years of 5-11 to rebuild the talent and maybe we can come out of it like the niners did.

If you're a fan who watches every game, it's clearly 8-8 because there is nothing worse than the regular season being over in early December or even November. You can get enjoyment out of any game because you actually like the game of football.

If you're a bandwagon fan 5-11, because you want a higher pick, will turn off the TV and avoid the meaningless games, don't know much about football, and don't really get much out of football anyway unless your team is winning.

I prefer 8-8, especially with having opportunity to win the Division and a playoff birth. With 5-11 record, your season is most likely over by November, which really sucks.

Yeah and that was Terence Newman in 2003 when we picked him 5th, Parcells first season.

Why would 8-8 be worse? Especially in Dallas's position, that high draft pick does no good if you don't draft well, or even have the proper coaching to properly develop the player.

Not just 8-8. 3 straight years of 8-8 and missing the playoffs by 1 game.

I could take 3 years at 5-11 if it meant long term success. Missing the playoffs by one game and still not having a top ten pick sucks.

I don't buy into this "well we don't draft well so who cares where we draft" line of thinking. The higher the draft pick, the better the odds of hitting on a stud draft pick. We have pro scouts like everyone else.

See? This shows the improvement Jerry has made as the GM. In ten or twelve years from now we will be singing "Championship 3x"

The 5-11 years were dreadful. There was no hope that Dallas could win.

The 8-8 years are heartbreaking. There's hope, only to be dashed over and over again.

I don't like either choice.

5-11. You're supposed to be bad and then turn it around. Not bad for three years in a row.

5-11. Heck, 2-14. Give me what the Texans have. If we bottomed out then Redhead would be long gone. He's been mediocre enough to keep his job.
