"Is a good leader" keeps getting shoved down our throats...but to me, great leaders also lead by example and performance, not just rah rah crap that eventually gets old. And to me, this has gotten old.
he was leading his ASP off the last game. he was sitting on the bench in his 1000-mile stare thing about how if one guy would come over to him sitting on the bench, he could lead that one guy to a victory. He wasn't pouting and dazed and confused, he was strategizing how he was going to lead this team to victory.

I just don't understand why at least a coach or one of his teammates doesn't come over and let him motivate and lead the team to a victory.

I agree with you guys, it was the team. They just won't come over to the bench and let dak lead them to victory.

When the chips are down, you can find dak on the bench. Leading like a leader, you can't get a degree doing that. crap yeah, you can.

He consistently under throws receivers would be a more accurate description of tossing the ball downfield. His INT's have more to do with him not seeing the field and actually being able to work through his progressions. That INT against AZ was once again because he locked on to his receiver, was late throwing the ball and never saw the dude with the red jersey right in the middle of the field.
Unable to process progressions in 3 seconds is due to not being able to pre read a defense prior to snap.
Daks issues are much deeper than post snap.
Great 4th round investment for Jerry, horrible franchise QB.

He averages 2.5 for the season. The Arizona game, the ball had to come out quicker than that due to the pressure. He scrambled 3 times as much, decreases air yards per attempt and not many WRs are getting open. It was a crap game.

With how bad Dallas was against the run last week, the D only gave up 21 points late in the 4th. That loss was mainly on the offense.
so giving up 220 yards rushing had nothing to do with it.

I think both sides played like crap. offense struggled inside the 10.
defense couldn't contain the run. gave up big play after big play.

What's wrong with this fan base and its lack of football IQ posting about things they obviously can't determine on their own... I mean you can't evaluate a player like Prescott acting like he hadn't played well since his rookie year and I'm telling you that's wrong you need to be able to understand all the other changes around him and yet he still had some career years since you know like in 2021..
Thanks for diagnosing the situation and identifying the problem: Many things have changed, but the one constant is Dak. That should tell you about his ability ...or lack thereof.

Funny logic, getting to the redzone were all Dak, yet failing to score TD became "their" problem. This is a typical double-standard.
It would be if that is what I was arguing. But I could turn that around and say it is funny logic to blame Dak for the red zone failures, but fail to credit him for getting them in goal to go situations 5 times.

The red zone failures, IMO, were the result of several problems. I would start with the offensive line injuries. The second problem was, IMO, the play calling. After that I would say Dak, the refs not calling clear PI, and you have to give Arizona credit for how they played. This is subjective.

But the quantitative data shows Dak had much greater success in 2022 than he has had this year. Is that Dak, or something else? In 2022 Dallas was the #1 red zone scoring team in the NFL, ahead of even SB champ KC. This year, so far, they are 27th. (71% in 2022, 40% in 2023) . These numbers are for TDs only. Is the difference Dak, or more likely something else?

He's been in the league for three years. How many more do you need until he just is what he is?
Was it not worth a 5th to find out?
Trey Lance was drafted 3rd overall in the 2021 NFL draft just for some that have forgotten already.

I am really not trying to bash Dak here. I genuinely root for him but I've became very frustrated with his play over the years. And he has seemed to have regressed since his rookie season.
Let's break down Dak and evaluate what he does well and what he doesn't do well.
WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET, and that's an over hyped, overpaid, less than mediocre NFL QB who hit his ability ceiling in 2016.

I don’t know dak, but this is my take. When he first burst on the scene, he was an incredible mature leader for a rookie no expectations and alot of excitement. Then he becomes the big man on campus, which is just different being a Dallas cowboy than any other team. There’s so much scrutiny and media coverage, it can really engulf somebody. Add the enormous contract and wonder does he prepare the same? Seven years later, and people are still talking about his foot work and decision making. The injuries of taking a toll on some of his speed. At this point he is what he is, someone who will not elevate his team and was a fourth round pick for a reason It certainly could be his last year. Jerry cannot extend him unless he has a great year and at least gets to an NFC championship, that’s competitive.I don’t see it because the Eagles and 49ers are much better.

I personally believe he is not great at reading defenses presnap, especially when teams drop into shell coverages. That is why his stats are better against blitzes.
