What is your favorite soft drink?

That would be Tab

Thought it tasted like kerosene. Not that I ever drank kerosene mind you.

It was popular in the 60's and 70's..

Anyone remember this one...

Dr. Pepper
Vanilla Coke
A&W Cream soda

Anyone remember Pepsi Blue? That stuff was terrible.

You only live once and you might as well enjoy it. I would rather die at 50 years old and enjoyed my life, than live to 70 not enjoying it. There are many days that my diet consist of nothing but coke and cigarettes. I know it's not healthy, but I don't worry about it.

It is quite possible to live a very enjoyable life without 3 liters of pop a day. It just takes a little pushing through it to change your tastes and habits towards healthier alternatives. Forgive those of us pushing you to change. Take it in the positive spirit intended.

Coca-Cola, but I don't drink much soda anymore. I can't even finish a 12oz of coke anymore.

Diet drinks (nutra sweet or saccharin)are worse for you than HFC and sugar. I know diabetics have to avoid the regulars but they really aren't helping themselves going with the Diet drinks either.

that's absolutely preposterous. There's no scientific evidence whatsoever that clear, diet soft drinks cause any health problems whatsoever. The diet colas can cause teeth problems, but stuff like diet sprite or mt dew have no harmful ingredients whatsoever. Just because some new age-y yahoos spout off about it being bad for you, doesn't mean that it is.

lol you must be a 20 year old. I used to live that sort of lifestyle in college but I ballooned up to over 200lb, lost 50 of them when I switched to diet Mt. Dew and cut out fast food. Feel tons better too, sleep better, no heartburn, back feels better, etc etc.

Or without cigarettes. Just speak to anyone who has complications from diabetes or COPD and ask them how enjoyable their lives are.

And how.

I generally try to avoid "preaching" to folks about the whole "cigarette smoking is evil" thing because I know smokers get tired of hearing it.

But you pulled my chain a little with the COPD thing.

My father struggled with that for years. The funny thing, or maybe not so funny thing is that he didn't quit smoking until he started suffering the affects of COPD.

How often do we see or hear of smokers "seeing the light" only after its taken away some of the body's function?

I wish his misery ended with the COPD. But that was a walk in the park compared to the lung cancer.

An incredibly painful way to die for the person suffering with it. Not too mention the pain it causes the rest of the family knowing there is absolutely nothing they can do to help.

Between bouts in the hospital with pnuemonia (a common occurance with those suffering from lung cancer) and the many trips to the doctors, in addition to the general sickness caused by the cancer treatment, it was devastating for him... And us.

Wow, I can't believe anyone would push the envelope by smoking... not in 2012. We know better.

It was bad. I remember it well.

If we drink a soda it is between Vanilla Coke and Dr. Pepper

Pepsi is also in the house.

We mostly drink tea and waters.

Most do know better. People don't always make the smartest choices.

Chantix. It works and most of the time costs less than people's smoking habits.

I enjoy a good cigar now and again.

Strictly a Macanudo man myself.... Portofino's!

But I agree, people shouldn't smoke constantly. What a horrible habit.

Put your head in the sand then that stuff is poison. Natural alternatives such as stevia and xylitol are much safer sweeteners.

I like Diet IBC Root Beer in a chilled bottle the best.
