Holy crap, where do I begin?
In no particular order...
1) 3rd and short, Romo back to pass. He has daylight in front of him, and could easily pick up the 1st down with his feet. Instead, he forces a pass downfield into coverage... incomplete, punt.
2) Being a millisecond too late with pass-rush. QB converts a 3rd and 10, when if Ware/Ellis/Ratliff/whoever was a SPLIT second faster, it's a sack and possibly forced fumble.
3) Hearing "automatic 1st down" come out of the ref's mouth when we're on D. Any of those penalties apply here. And when that happens after a 3rd down stop, it's nearly the same thing as a turnover.
4) Missed opportunities on O. Late in the 2nd quarter last week, Romo was under pressure and missed Miles Austin wide open in the endzone. We end up settling for a FG attempt, which Folk missed.
5) Poor clock management. Same drive as mentioned in #4, we had TWO timeouts and spent none, inexplicably going no-huddle and letting tons of time run off the clock. It changed our play-calling and was a major reason we went 3 and out.
6) Our inconsistent, feast-or-famine run game. Maybe it only seems this way... but it seems like Barber will either get 4+ yards a pop or he'll be stuffed for negative yardage or no gain.
7) Dropped INTs. There's a handful of plays in most football games that are somewhat unnoticed (especially by the highlight reel) but make a TREMENDOUS impact on the outcome of the game. Dropped INTs are these type of plays, especially when the offense scores points on the drive. If Asante Samuel doesn't drop the INT in the Giants' final drive of the Super Bowl, Eli is a goat today (and still a bum in general) and the Pats would've been perfect. Pacman dropped at least 3 that I can recall this year alone.
There's about 6,293 more that I'm too lazy to list. Man, football can be infuriating.
