What it would cost to bring back Dowdle

Rico just is not worth that kind of money. He just looked good because the other RBs just plain sucked. This was his first year he was injury free, and would not shock me at all if he went back to being injured.

Besides, I think they’re gonna really grab a RB in the first couple of rounds.

Based on what I saw and not just rushing close to 1100 yards he’s a nice receiving RB out of the backfield . Well worth 6 mill per multiple yrs .

Then round three pick a quality back and implement a dominating running game behind a young improving line which will help the passing game .

This report means Rico is hitting market, and already has a deal in place for more money than Dallas will give him. $6M is the starting point for Rico, and in a draft like this Dallas should let him walk.

Rico is a good RB, I'm not going to downplay his value. Just watch his highlights and see the vision, cuts, acceleration thru the hole, hands, blitz pickup and finish of runs with violence. Glad Rico is getting his paper, finally.

It would be nice if they ever looked forward to the future. Should have extended him late last year for 2.5 mil a year. He would have taken it.

Rico is not worth $6 million to me. Henry signed for $8 million last year, and Pollard for $7.2. I'd give Rico $4 million tops. They need a serious upgrade at RB. This draft is deep, get 2 and don't look back.

He can ask for $6M all he wants and if he gets it, like the poster said good for him.

I'd offer 3yr/$12M and not move off that - if he takes it we aren't at square one with RB and can draft one.
