What kind of game does QC have today?

Rod?

Please don't tell me you just called DARREN Woodson "Rod".

Good one, apparently watching to much of the NFL network, at least I did not call larry allen lincon. ;)

Yes, and the reason is we have never had the players to allow him to play were he should.

I still say that they are trying to turn him into a different player than he ever was. He excelled when he played close to the line of scrimmage. It's like we drafted him based on reputation without ever looking at the game-film of when he was at Oklahoma.

I agree with you 100%, the problem was he could do it better then DARREN.

You're saying he could cover better then Darren in his (Roy's) first year? Yet we still had Darren covering slot WRs ONE ON ONE in Roy's first year.

Sorry, wrong again. Roy should of been playing Darren's position his rookie year, and he should be playing that position now. I'd rather have our playmakers playing the position that BEST takes advantage of their playmaking skills, not the opposite.

Jets are nasty - blitzing from everywhere.

Lets go get Donnie Henderson for DC

I am this time.

I don't know the meaning, but I have a feeling you need to get one (a life that is).

I KNOW he's a solid LB. He's not great. He's not spectactular, but he is SOLID. Coakley is also solid. Nguyen could make a probowl or two with a real DCoord.

Your a funny man, you guys crack me up anyone disagrees with you, and you immediately become a poster boy for anger management.

Ahhhh shoot.....I say just turn him into a hybrid LB/DB and let him get involved in the game more.....kinda like when he was with Oklahoma.

I'm not angry. I'm surprised at your lack of football knowledge, but certainly not angry.

Nors, I agree. Bring in the Jets' DCoord. Their pass rush is nasty. They don't even need to blitz to get pressure. When we blitz it's a necessity to get to the QB. When the Jets blitz it's a luxury.

So you are purposing taking the only guy in our secondary this year who had ANY experience at all, basically taking him out of coverage?

Could it of POSSIBLY made our defense worse, putting Roy in position that takes advantage of his best skills?

Rack said:
OMG. This is getting pathetic.

I believe we have our very first Zimmer Apologist.

Abviously you have not read the thread as usual.

Never apologised for Zimmer.

No one ever "Apologized" for Carter either, yet there were Carter Apologists.

I believe it could have, get burned quicker in the passing game as bill stated earlier this season.

We had zero experience in the secondary opposite TNEW.

You don't need an abundance of "Experience" to play deep safety. Deep safety is the easiest job (mentally) in football.

QC scrammbled out of that one too fast that time. He didnt' give Jordan a chance to pick up that blitz.

That would be fine if the second corner and the nickel back and the other safety had any experience/ talent at all.

They were trying to make Roy the glue that held that mess of talent together.

But ended up making a bigger mess instead.

Play your playmakers where they will best utilize their abilities. That's all there is to it.

3rd and 10, the Ravens blitz, QC reads it and throws a good pass to J. Carter that would of gone for a first down, but it's dropped.

And plaing Dixon or Scott in coverage would of been worse, before Dixon got hurt at least he did something in the sack game. Would of gotten destroyed in coverage and Scott would be worse.
