I'll make sure I put that up on my refrigerator.

So are you saying that the GB running backs would have done better than the Cowboys running backs trying to run behind last year oline?

I wouldn't. That is one. A push would be a mixed opinion. The resources I've mentioned all had Franklin ahead of Randle. Some way ahead.

Fair enough. I just don't care enough to debate the point. Two unproven rookies vs another rookie and a guy who has looked good but is injury prone... eh.

Well I agree that neither are settled. That's what makes it an interesting debate.

Who says they're unheralded? You? Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin are two quality RB prospects. Lance Dunbar is unheralded. Phillip Tanner is unheralded. Not Lacy and Franklin. They both carried a grade as good or better than Murray did when he was drafted. Lacy went higher in the draft than Murray. RBs slide. It's not news worthy nor an indication of their ability.

The fact that they are rookies doesn't mean anything to me because it's the easiest position to play and produce as a rookie. I would take that combo over Murray, a late round Randle and two undrafted free agents.

I must have missed the pro bowl level of play from Murray when he's been healthy. I'd say that's a tad overstated.

Umm yes me. And the consensus of a draft that was viewed as having very few elite skill position players (unlucky for teams that needed to address the line).

Both guys slid. Sure Lacy went before Murray but we have seen Murray perform at a pro bowl level (not really debatable). We have not seen Lacy or Franklin play a down.

Pretty stupid to take unproven over pro bowl.

And you can't really use health as an equalizer...because we have no idea if Lacy or Franklin can stay healthy.

So again it is your right to take their duo. Doesn't mean it isn't silly. Hint: it is.

Probowl for Murray? So in the NFC out of Adrian Peterson, Doug Martin, Afred Morris, Marshawn Lynch, and Frank Gore --- which one of those guys is Murray better than?

You keep saying Murray is Pro-bowl. Top 4 rushers in the conference go to the Probowl. That means you believe Murray is better than at least two of those guys. Which?

Actually performing at a pro bowl level and making the pro bowl are two different things. Notice I never said Murray made it to the pro bowl.

Oh and LOL @ using the pro bowl as a indication of anything other than the most popular players at their respective positions.

For instance if I said Dez Bryant performed at a Pro Bowl level last year would anyone get up in arms about it? Afterall he didn't make the pro bowl.

I mean I come on people.

But as an aside if we are talking actual talent at this stage in their careers give me Murray over Gore and Morris. Gore has lost 3 steps and check out Morris when RG3 didn't play to keep an extra linebacker out of coverage and was living off the zone read.

I mean do you guys watch football or just skim through it?

If he plays a whole season and is healthy I'd take him over Martin and possibly Gore. Of course at this point I like both those guys better simply because Murray hasn't stayed healthy. I might even take him over Morris as well depending on what Morris shows he can do this year as well.

I'm probably in the minority but I have a feeling his numbers will fall because I really don't believe that read option is going to be nearly as effective in the NFL this year. That's possibly just me on that though.

That's easy -- I predict Murray will run for 1,700+ yards this year, if he stays healthy for 16 games. Only Adrian Peterson ran for that many yards last year. So I believe Murray is better than Doug Martin, Alfred Morris, Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore. So not a matter of which two of those guys, I think Murray is better than all four of them. Murray is the second best back in the entire league, behind Peterson. Sound silly? We'll see.
