We had 25 M on the cap last yeR. We had 20M on the cap this year. We chose not to spend it.

Also tell me which DT you wanted and we couldn't afford.

Just a fact
Just a thought
I would have gone hard after Javon Hargrave, and all he cost this season is $6.8 million.

Flacco has an 85.5 rating and 7 interceptions to 10 TDs. He's completing just under 60% of his passes.

Dak has a 104.2 rating, 30 TDs to 7 interceptions and is completing 68.4% of his passes.

Dak is not irreplaceable, but finding a comparable replacement would not be easy, just as it wouldn't be for any top 10-15 QB. That's why few teams who have one are as eager to try to replace them as our fans are.
Always about stats. Who cares? Aikman didn't have huge garbage numbers, just the ones that mattered, especially in big games.

Who would you take as a QB1 in a conference title or SB game? Flacco or Dak?

No, he forced lots of bad throws trying to thread the needle too.
That is a very simpleton way to look at it.

Romo went toe to toe with some of the best QB's of his day, hall of famers. Remember Peyton and Denver?

If only he had a defense.

Yes, Romo did crash and burn on occasion. How many times did he have to go back out because of a crappy defense? At some point the numbers catch up.

I'd go ahead and post his numbers but...some people just don't care. They are actually VERY good.

I see you mentioned Aikman...would HE have had great success with Romo's teams and coaches?

I always see "But if not Dak then who?" type of replies to basically anyone not happy with Dak as the QB for the Cowboys.

What makes him irreplaceable in the eyes of those with that mindset? Are there people that really think Dak's skill and ability is SO high that he can't be replaced?

What skill or talents sets him apart from say..... Joe Flacco off the couch?
No running game!

Dak. He's the better QB right now. Give me a better option and that answer would be different. Flacco has almost as many interceptions as TDs. That's not garbage numbers; that's bad numbers.

If there's anyone here who thinks at this point we'd be better off with Flacco than Prescott, you're delusional.

If he's not elite, he's average. Elite guys deliver in big games. When he actually does that, quote me again.

Being a fan doesn't mean who have to swallow Jerry's kool aid. The fact I still watch after 25+ yrs of his complete mismanagement of the team, makes me a fan. I stopped buying merch years ago, when I sold my season tickets.

I will say this....... He resigns that lackluster QB, and you won't be hearing from me again. That'll be the final nail in that coffin, but he's smarter than every real GM, and likes his guys.
Avg is middle of the league. He’s not middle of the league. I think only one QB is in the elite catagory myself

Agreed. Elite should be reserved for the few. Dak is a top 10 QB this year, but top 10 does not equal elite. I'm not sure any of the QBs this year qualify as elite. Mahomes probably deserves it for past accomplishments, but not this year so far.

Only because there are so many weak QB in comparison. That's why his stats put him there.

He hasn't delivered in big games in 8 yrs. What makes you think Dak can deliver when he's failed before? Because he's beaten on weak teams?

Why don’t I tell them to stop instead of you? Well 2 things
Im not asking you to stop being #1. I am rather impressed with your commitment

#2 being I don’t give 2 you know what’s if someone makes a comment bout Romo.

I wasnt all that enthused with him as a Dallas qb with the exception of a year or 2 And by the time I started to get behind him he was broke down and our current QB came along

I understand why Dallas fans don’t think as much of #9 as you do because I didn’t

I also get why a lot of #9 fans don’t care for our current QB

And then there are those in the middle who either disliked both or loved both

Truth is they both were and are flawed and both were failed by same dude in press box

Honestly anymore I just try to enjoy each week and hope for the best . No expectations

I’ve also gotten to where I understand why Dallas fans are a such a hated group.

Loving the Dallas cowboys is a disease that infects the brain and the heart. And for guys and gals like us

There no cure . Take care dude hope you had a good holiday

Well you do seem a little ...er...obessessed?... with MY obsession but never theirs. Just about every time I give a comment about it I get one from you.

Impressed with my commitment but never theirs.

I very rarely speak of Dak like they talk STILL! all these years later, about Romo. Talk about obsession!

We can claim they both suck, both flawed....isn;t everyone? But that's a pretty lazy 30,000 foot view of it. The situations are different, players different, coaches different.
As so many people say...there is one common denominator isn't there?

I'm not sure why people think Dallas fans are such a hated group. Or that we are so much different than other fans. Every team has their stans and haters, often the very same fans as they go through various stages. I think that roller coaster is part of the fun. Here? People are allowed to attack you for it.

Well anyway...as long as people continue, somewhat perplexing, to rag on Romo, you can be sure I'll be right there. What should be a cinderalla story, and appreciation for him absolutely destroying his body becomes very ugly diatribe.

When the time comes, will I do it for Dak? I dunno. Not quite as fond of him as Romo, nothing wrong with it that's how it works. I was very fond of Dr. J, Shelton Jones? Not so much. Just how it works it doesn't make me less of a fan.

I also have no intention of ragging on Dak for eternity either.

You take care too old forum friend. It was a rough year for me personally, devastating actually. But we came out stronger for it and truly blessed.

Quality starting Qbs don't fall off trees, if you somehow manage to get one, you lock him up for years to come and flat our build around him .. players, coaches, and prayer u have an ideal management group.

Denver still to this day has not resolve its' longtime QB issues ..jury is out on Murray, Watson, and now once dynasty NE Pats look like a mess at QB with Mac Jones.

Dak could go into the 4th quarter with 0 TDs and 120 yards passing with the Cowboys down 21-0 but finish the game with 250 yards and 2 TDs while losing 14-21 and his fans boys will blame everyone else for it lolololololol
