Our line has t bee. The sane since Leary left. Tyler’s a more athletic Leary.
I’m not really concerned or thinking about Smiths return. He likely won’t be back until the playoffs or a week or two before that.
Tyler Smith had played well, but I still slide him into LG. Steele has played well.
Tyron / Tyler / Biadasz / Martin / Steele
Then why were so many people wanting the Cowboys to make a trade to upgrade the OL?
Old cliché but they really did like their guys.
I'm not either. As @fivetwos (cohesion) @Doomsday101 (continuity) pointed out, I'm not sure if I would change anything. But the dude is a stud when healthy, and if he's healthy and in shape, which he always is, I would look at it. On paper, having Tyron at LT and Tyler at LG is SCARY.
With his injury I don't think you can do a lot, cardio wise. So he might not even be able to play 4 quarters. Glad I'm not a coach.
yes I agree, but jerry will put tyron back in as soon as possible.IF and when. I'm not sure i make any changes, I keep TS77 as the swing tackle and IF in big game or the payoffs one of our tackles are struggling, then you make the switch.
That’s the dumbest idea this century. Tyron’s still a top 3 tackle when healthy. He needs to start abd live Tyler to guard to have the best line in the league.Tyron goes to Swing OT, so he and Peters can back these dudes up.
That's your opinion. When healthy...well when is he healthy? Not now. Not in the last few years. How did Tyron play against the 49ers, the last time we saw him? That’s the dumbest idea this century. Tyron’s still a top 3 tackle when healthy. He needs to start abd live Tyler to guard to have the best line in the league.
Nah doubt it..,he will leave that up to the coaches and trainers to make sure hes in full game shape and fully ready. jerry does not dictate who plays and who much even if that what the fan narrative may be.yes I agree, but jerry will put tyron back in as soon as possible.
I'll believe it when I see it with regards to Tyron playing again. He won't be 100% this season. That type of injury lingers. He'll need to practice for at least 2 weeks before starting a game.FRISCO, Texas - By almost anyone's estimation, the Cowboys offensive line has under-promised and over-delivered through the first eight games of the season.
With so much uncertainty across the board before the season even began with the exception of All-Pros Zack Martin and Tyron Smith, the offensive line had its fair share of doubters before they ever left for training camp.
Then on the last day of training camp after returning from Oxnard, Calif., Smith went down with a non-contact injury. By the next morning it was said that he would miss the majority of the season with a hamstring injury.
But earlier this week, Cowboy chief operating officer Stephen Jones said on 105.3 "The Fan" that he expected Smith to return to action in about 3-4 weeks, meaning after Thanksgiving is a possibility.

If it's 3 or 4 weeks to return to practice then 2 or 3 weeks of practice before starting a game, then the season is almost over.
I would prefer to get him as healthy as possible as a backup option. It would effectively give them a backup option at 2 positions. Directly at LT or indirectly by moving Tyler to LG with Tyron at LT.
If McGovern was out they could decide between Peters at LG or Tyler at LG with Tyron at LT.
3-4 weeks until his 3 week practice window. If he takes the full window that would be 6-7 weeks before he plays in a game.
