What offensive plays/concepts can we carry over to help Dak

Who's getting separated enough to do that
Isnt this a slight misconception? I always thought Dak's issue was that he fixates (and has to stare down) his first read, he's not reading anyone else other than his first read and the check-down.......he doesnt go through progressions, as he cant read the defense and fear/panics that if he doesnt hit, the 1st read it'll be gone.

All of this is predicated on the oppositions game-plan of getting a lead, so Dak loses the comfort of a yard gaining offense, as they sit back (preferably) in a zonal cover-2. Its the Blueprint again.

With the injury he has it's probably never going to be for him to go under center! I would love love love love love to see him be under center more and doing play action etc, giving him the ability to already be in a stand up position is probably comforting to him with the leg injury who knows!
This is what I enjoyed about Rush. He took a lot of snaps behind center which I believe is way more effective for play action. Dak seems to prefer shotgun much of the time, as do most QBs in today's NFL. Unfortunately.

I have made this same observation. It's been a constant his entire career. His options started with Dez then Witten. Then it became CD and Schultz. With the departure of Schultz, he hasn't developed a similar comfort with Ferguson or anyone else. This is why other complementary WRs like Amari and Cooks would go long stretches without a catch. It's also why once again an OL is being considered to be drafted first, because Dak needs to have five 1st round, all-pro linemen so that he can have 10 seconds to get through his reads.

Well, Aikman needed it also

Are there any plays/concepts/routes that you can think of that we used this past season or in previous season under MM that Dak will be allowed to keep to help him run the offense. Is there any routes you feel that he excels well at, the coaches will feel the same about. Or, will Shotty change it up a lot to get this offense to be more balanced and efficient. Yes we've had good offenses over the years in terms of stats, but were they good when we needed them to be (in the red zone, playoffs, or in critical points of a game?) Please give your thoughts
Anything with Slants / Crossing routes and motion helps him. he's terrible at long developing plays so keep that out of hte play book unless it has underneath options.

One of the more successful plays, was Dak rolling out to the right. A TE comes across the field, and catches the ball from 5 to 15 yards up field from the LOS right around the hash marks.
Then they got away from it. Rarely used it with Rush.
That always works. Getting someone across from lamb would be huge. But building an effective run game is the real key. And it’s not just Dak, it’s offenses in general. A run game makes the LB’s have to think for a second, the safeties to have to think, the dline too. Making players have to think about run or pass is huge in the passing game

we rarely see underneath options, it's usually the long developing plays that we have in our book that I wish we'd trash

The best way to help Dak is to run the football effectively. Having no running game puts all the onus on Dak and that is the worst situation to be in. Of course, the idiot in charge paid him $60 million so now he looks ridiculous if he takes the ball away from Dak.

Troy Aikman said that if he was told he would not have one completion the entire season, but won the SB. Would he accept that.
He said, yes.
And this was before they won the SB, I believe. Can't remember for sure.

So if a strong run game, and need a strong defense to help as well. If that is what it takes regardless of his contract. I will take it.
