What players and their salaries do you anticipate coming off the books next year?

If that's how you feel, then why post in the thread that is specifically about what you don't want to talk about?
I thought I gave a good response. Saying there’s no way to accurately tell about the performance of certain players. Until they play. It was an honest question. Not meant to be sarcasm

Yes please.
I wasn’t trying to be sarcastic, I don’t think it’s quite the time to tell how much I want to pay a player. Until I see what kind of abuse or ability they still have until the end of the season. But it doesn’t matter what us fans think. Jerry believes in loyalty. That’s how he decides who to pay and who not to pay. I don’t think he does it on the talent level at all. That’s why I don’t support him as GM.

This is true. Which is why the word anticipate was included. We don't know for sure.

I often do the same thing the OP is doing. It gives you an idea of the room available for future signings.

I understand the scenario. But that’s all it is speculation. I don’t think the salary cap. Is it anything that should be taken into consideration it can always be manipulated. Look at all the money we have now. It’ll be gone just as fast as it was there and vice versa.

But people are right. This is a better conversation then the other guy we usually talk about. I’m more about facts. Like statistics, they should be left for the end of a persons career. How much to pay a person salary. Too many variables in my opinion, who should not be in who should be on the team next season. I don’t know how to begin to answer that. At this point in time again, I wasn’t trying to be sarcastic.

Gave you a like because I agree with your point. But I don’t believe that’s what I was doing.

These are players I no longer see being on the books after this season:

- Polllard 10 million
-Tyron Smith 13 million
-Gillmore CB 13 Million
-Gallup 12 Million

-Lawrence is probably the biggest shoe to drop at some point. Isnt he getting like 17 million per year now with the discount he signed?

- I bet they find a way to keep Cooks around and I they will need to look into resigning Steele and Biadasz.

Am I missing anyone?

Diggs big salary is probably the first one to reup. I expect them to get Parsons and Lamb resigned at some point, but they probably slow roll those. Dak as well.
You didn't miss anyone of note. I'm just not sure about Gallup. Unless he is absolutely terrible this year, he'll be here next year too. His dead cap is the same as his cap hit. I doubt they use a June 1st cut on him.

Tyron is only 8M against the cap this year with another 6M in void years. He'll be 2M off the books next year.

DLaw has 2 years left. Same situation as Gallup. I'm guessing that show drops after 2024.

I absolutely do not get the Gallup hate. Struggled last year coming back from injury, as to be expected. This is the season where he should get back to what he was, a 1,000 yd WR w/ some serious yips.

Why has everyone turned on him? I truly don't get it.

The salary cap is probably the only reason people speculate on this. The cap can be manipulated to a point, or else we'd see stacked teams like we had in the 80s and 90s. Teams like the 2013 Seahawks wouldn't have been disbanded. Tyreek Hill would probably still be on the Chiefs. You get the point.

But back to the OP. Yes, these are educated guesses. More often than not, you can get a pretty good idea of when a player will run his course with a team. That is if you're even paying attention to contracts and the cap. Some people don't bother with that.

It will all go in reverse if and when he is back to form. But to answer your question, some players don't recover well from a bad injury. Maybe people just think he's one of them, and he'll never be the same. I think he'll be back to form this year, or close to it. Certainly not bad enough to be cut with a 1 to 1 cap to dead cap hit.

Let me throw something bye. Positive analysis , Aaron Rodgers, the media, the fans constantly praise him, he has confidence through the roof. Do you think if Dak Prescott received the same positive reinforcement. That he would actually be a better quarterback. Numerous studies. Would say yes . Do you think if Aaron Rodgers didn’t receive all that positive vibrations, that he would be as good as people say he is. Or would he just be a little bit less?

I think he’s the same deep threat that he always was. Now, is he good? Cross the middle receiver still I don’t know. We all diminish our skills especially with injury. But I’m not sure if that’s really true either. Many of athletes. Are actually better after an injury.
I can’t wait for this season. It all looks positive.

Tyron Smith. He could have a fabulous year after taking the time off you did helping his back. Then again he could absolutely just folder the second game I wish them the best I guess that’s all I can really say.

I can’t wait for this particular season to get underway. I love a defensive squad. Let’s hope they can last out into the playoffs.
