What players do we try out for rest of year?

I want to see Travis Bright and Costa on the Oline. Even Sean Young. Let all the young one play and see how they fair against the rush.

I also want Butler to start. Put Spencer in as ILB. Its time to mix up some players.

I'd like to see Sean Young too. She was pretty hot in that "Against All Odds" movie. Heck I doubt she would do much worse than Davis.:laugh2:

Costa at center.

Young at RT.

Lee at ILB.

J.Will at the other ILB. (might as well give him some real PT)

Marty B....sorry but Witten and his dumb penalties and fumbles are getting a bit too much.

McGee, but only after they are mathematically done.

Barry Church and move Ball back to corner where he is comfortable.

I am not advocating to start Lee and Williams, but I would be giving them alot more burn.

I'd like to see Choice, Church, Young get in there and start.

Well, with Romo out, this team's chances of making the playoffs are over (they probably were before the Giants game).

Now is the time to find out about which players are mentally tough and smart. We know a bunch of them are physically talented, but many of them get smacked in the mouth and turtle or can't find focus and consistency.

There is an evaluation and teaching opportunity here - that is more important that "sending a message" that we've given up on the season.

Sorry, but the team looked like it gave up on itself and the coaches yesterday, despite finally getting a bunch of breaks (bounces, turnovers etc). They got beat in the trenches, and their schemes were exploited. That was first time that really happened all year, so that was the final bullet.

Jimmy did stand up to Jerry. He had the knack for getting what he wanted and was needed. Parcells was next strongest, but he QUIT on the team. He never had the physically talented players that this team has. He did bring in his tougher mentally guys, but he also taught detail and focus and did more with less (just look at those rosters and compare to last couple of years).

Brooking has been flat out horrid. If Lee isn't playing soon it will speak volumes about how ready he isn't.

I agree about McGee and Sean Lee. Not sure about Young. If he can show he won't just fall apart then maybe. I don't want to get McGee and Kitna killed because we put a tackle in that has no business playing. Same with Costa. Let him play at both guard and center to see how he does. (no center until he proves there will be no fumbled snaps though)

I would like to see AOA get some time at FS and/or CB and let Church play some SS.

See more Bowen and Hatcher. A decision has to be made on these guys.

Get Jason Williams some time at MLB and more at nickel backer.

Damn it, get Dez more involved. They always under play their up and coming WRs. (Austin got the same treatment until that 250 yard game and the only reason he got that is because Roy got hurt)

Let Choice play in place of Barber except on short yardage situations.

Sorry, Gronk just isn't ready to play.

See what Bennett can do if you make him more of a focal point in the passing game.

Bring in Quintin Demps. Ball is an average backup at best. AOA isn't getting the job done on KO returns and if he can't step up to play safety at least get somebody in there that has starting experience that can do KO returns.

I know this is mentioned in a few other threads, but I think it deserves another thread.

Love this guy. I think he is worn out and beat up. He got double teamed all last night and yet nobody on the rest of D could take advantage of it.

He is reportedly beat up after EVERY game and, to me, shows he is worn down by seasons end.

He isn't a big fat guy. Brent has far more the typical NT build and has shown some flashes.

Can Rat play DE in a 3-4?
Do we go back toa 4-3 - man what does that mean for Ware (and assuming a stopping of his regression, Spencer).

We are manhandled at the line by good olines. Our LBers can't blitz up the middle worth crap, nor is our defensive 3-4 particularly creative or scary. The pressure we do get is because of Ware and Rat being just so talented and having great motors (sometimes Spencer too), but they can't put out that level of energy EVERY play.

What is the answer there.

Rat has been REALLY quiet last few games. REALLY quiet. I think he is beat up and burned out. Year after year, same thing for him. Vast majority of snaps at a position where he is undersized and double teamed constantly.

Again, do we look at that now with an early coaching change, or start experimenting in offseason, only to discover it doesn't work.

I will be choked if we make changes in offseason only to discover 5 games into 2011 season that they don't work again. Figure them out NOW.
