What team is meaningfully better yet?

Could be. Johnson is 3 years younger.
Only issue I see is Wayne was a technician while Johnson was a physical freak.
When you hit the 30s and those physical tools wane can the player still go?
Andre Johnson to me is a pretty big question mark.

AJ's number have really fallen way off since he turned 30 and also had an injury in there.
He was targeted almost 150 times last year and dropped a high number of passes.
Ended up with only 2 or 3 TDs. His long play was 35 yards which is a career low longest play for him.

Houston had told him they'd be benching him.

Houston had horrible qb's last year though. Andre Johnson will be a monster with Luck.

Jags probably got better, but dumpster fire to just awful isn't 70M worth of value. Giving back ups plus starter money to come in and start seldom works.

SEA added a unique weapon but lost a lot of talent overall.

Pats lose Revis and Wilfork to rebound with value signings.

Colts decide to put some vets around Luck but oddly choose guys in their last legs.

PHI shuffled the deck but look at best even in talent. Foles, Maclin and Shady was the offense last year.

The Jets fare better in media than on the field.

That's a fair appraisal IMO.

I don't see where any team has drastically improved themselves.

I mean Jax isn't going 8-8 this season with the "talent" they acquired.

Doubtful.

Agreed that Houston's QB's weren't all-that, but Hopkins managed to catch 76 passes for over 1,200 yards and 6 scores.

Johnson will be better with Luck, but his "monster" seasons are behind him.

I tend to lean with you here.
I "suspect" AJ is on his last legs.
He may have a couple 800 yard seasons left in him but I don't think he is a top 25 WR anymore. I don't think he is in the class of Cobb or Maclin; much less the franchisers. So a tier 3 FA WR.

And Dallas? Lost back-up right OT, lost 2 starting linebackers, signed marginal replacement linebacker, lost running back, forced to franchise WR
