I think Owens is too much of a distraction for any team that's going to be a viable contendernext season. Outside of The Cowboys and The Raiders there are no other teams that welcome the "media circus" like they do. Although Jerry Jones is concerned with making a profit off of The Cowboys name, it's Al Davis' who is more intent on selling his "Product" than any other owner in the league. Owens brings instant publicity to whatever team he joins and Davis knows that.
If Owens doesn't join Oakland then he will most likely go to a team that's willing to "give him a chance" rather than a team that's already united and ready to contend for the title.

We were having dinner when we saw it on ESPN. FIrst thing we said was "Giants or Commanders?"

Snyder would do it for the publicity. Giants would do it out of necessity. Terrell would do it for a chance to get back at Dallas twice a year.

IMO though, the biggest money he'll see (if possible) will be from Al Davis. Owens + Higgins = DANGEROUS

If he does play @Dallas, you know he'll stand on the star and hold his arms up too. I'd say good for him. I think Dallas made a mistake, but oh well...gotta support the team first.

I think possible landing spots for Owens could be: Oakland, New York (Giants), Washington, Minnesota, New England, San Diego or Baltimore.

It is my belief that Al Davis will sign T.O. within 2 weeks. T.O. has the prototype Raider persona and Davis, who understands marketing to a high degree, would sell T.O.'s persona to the fans and get a substantial return on the deal.

Who else would sign him? No one was jumping up to sign him after the Eagles let him go except us and now that he is older I don't see anyone other than the Raiders taking a chance on him.

LOL that is funny. The vet minimum won't happen but it wouldn't surprise me if NE picks him up. That would be too much if Moss and Owens played together and Brady throwing the ball. Pretty much unstoppable.

New York had enough with Plax. Brad Childress can't stand T.O and he's the HC over at Minny. Snyder already broke the bank But if he got Owens would only be a QB away from having a monsterous team. Oakland, San Diego, NE and then Baltimore I think are the teams. Maybe even Seattle to pair him up with T.J. Indy? No Way, just sick but how can he talk crap to Brady or Manning? He's going somewhere and a team like Indy is chasing 1 last shot.
