In the lead up to the 2021 NFL Draft, everyone and their mother anticipated the Cowboys spending the tenth overall pick on a cornerback, with the bigger question being whether Jaycee Horn or Patrick Surtain II would be the newest player to wear the star on their helmet.

As it turns out, both of them were selected immediately before Dallas came on the clock, which led to the Micah Parsons selection. But the Cowboys found a cornerback with their next pick, taking Kentucky’s Kelvin Joseph in the second round.

It seemed KJ was improving in his limited play at the end of the season.
He will be one of the more watched players in his progress during PS games. At least for me.

Just our luck as he looks to be a very good CB for the future going forward, the NFL FO office will hit him with a suspension the week before game one if not less time.

The "elephant in the room" that will overshadow Joseph's work during training camp and preseason.

An awkward situation will develop if the case is not resolved or Joseph is not absolved of wrongdoing before the season starts.

I honestly hope he gets kicked off the league. But then again this is the NFL, employer of murderers, rapists, child and woman beaters, accessory to murders and sure some decent human beings maybe too.

I seriously wonder about his availability.
He has a serious suspension hanging over his head.
Remember Cowboys get the hammer.

Just hoping he plays well and improves after coming back after suspension.
IIFC, the case is still unresolved and Joseph has not been absolved of (direct) involvement in the crime.
He can't be place on the exempt list because he hasn't been charged with any type of offense related to the incident.
IMO - unless the league rules with the case still open --- or the Cowboys intervene and put him on ice...
Joseph will suit up and play in the 2022 season from game 1 on.

Zeke wasn't charged and still got a 6 game suspension.

Has anything been done with this case so far? If he told the police who the shooter was, you would think there'd be charges by now ... unless there are conflicting statements.

It could certainly happen without charges because of the league's you made us look bad rule. But Elliott's suspension was partly the result of the league looking for someone to punish for domestic violence because of the public backlash that it was too soft on DV offenders. He was a high-profile scapegoat.

It does appear that two people in the vehicle confessed to the shooting. That doesn't absolve Joseph, but if the only thing he was involved in was the fight that preceded the shooting, not sure he can be found guilty of any wrongdoing unless the shooters' stories change.
