What to do if Cooper Rush takes the Cowboys on a win streak?

I bet Dakota gets well sooner? Seriously though do you keep Cooper starting or bring Dak back in after he has healed on a win streak?

It sucks that Dak's hurt...he doesn't deserve that. With that being said, I'm excited to see if the team steps up without him. He wasn't doing jack as the starter so it isn't like it's some big loss. If the team continues to suck and Rush faceplants, the bright side is an even better draft position. Personally, I'd like to see this light some actual fire in the guts of these lazy, undisciplined gutless wonders. If Cooper gets on a win streak, I'd absolutely keep sitting Dak. Don't mess with the hot hand.

I mean as a Cowboy fan the last thing this team needs to do is "win" games. We need change and while it may not change the last thing we need is minor change because this team got on a win streak.

But if everyone is playing better for Rush i'd say you'd keep Rush out there as long as possible. Though its worth noting you don't have Rush under contract after this year or Lance. The only quarterback under contract you have is Dak.

Nothing about this team is anywhere close to that team...Rush has this to work with:
bottom 3 run game
bottom 3 defense
1 legit WR who is hurt
an OL that gave up sacks to an Atlanta defense who couldn't get sacks against some Texas HS teams..
but yeah here comes a win streak.....this is the opposite of setting your QB2 up for success....

Cooper might inject life into this team. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go on another mini run here too and get us to 5-5. Cooper Rush is just that dude!
The thing about that team is they had Micah, Law, Diggs, etc.

They now have Zimmer and a hurt Micah, hurt Bland, hurt Law and whatever incarnation of Diggs this is. So if they go 5-5...which includes beating the Eagles? Hell of a accomplishment.

If i'm understanding correctly they say that Dak is making them all play worse. So when they sit him and start Rush all of a sudden the defense starts generating turnovers, the offensive line starts blocking, Zeke turns back the time and goes back to 2016 Zeke....

Going with Rush now will force Mike and company to be more balanced. Running Rico more and hopefully a Vaughn sighting.

If Rush starts winning then I bench him for Lance. At this point I want the higher draft pick. We aren't making the playoffs this year. We need the highest draft pick possible to obtain as much draft capital as possible since our GM doesn't believe in dipping his toes in free agency. Too bad we don't have many older veterans with trade value. Zack Martin would be on the trading block. Demarcus Lawrence would be on the trading block if he were healthy. Donovan Wilson and Malik Hooker have been awful but maybe Dan Quinn has a soft spot for one of them and would float us draft pick.

the problem is whats going to force the OL to block the correct assignment all the sudden, or the D to all the sudden hold an opponent to 17 points or WR get some sort of seperation..that Atlanta D was the worst D we will face for a while...thats not good.

You keep riding him like they did in 2022 but I don’t see a winning streak coming with this team. The 2022 team was MUCH better than this team. All Rush had to do was manage games. We never gave up more than 17 points in the games we won with him. Our defense was playing exceptionally well and Rush won a game vs the Rams where he only passed for 100 yards. If we lose against Philly, even if Rush plays well we should give Lance an opportunity until Dak is ready to return. We gave up a fourth round pick for him and might as well try and develop him more. If he were to show something, it might increase his trade value during the offseason. If Rush doesn’t play well on Sunday I think we see Trey Lance the following week.
