What to do if Cooper Rush takes the Cowboys on a win streak?

The thing about that team is they had Micah, Law, Diggs, etc.

They now have Zimmer and a hurt Micah, hurt Bland, hurt Law and whatever incarnation of Diggs this is. So if they go 5-5...which includes beating the Eagles? Hell of an accomplishment.
It wouldn’t surprise me one bit. The team plays different when Cooper is under center. Sometimes you need that old fashioned play to win football games. All aboard Cooper “The Rush” Rush!

Going with Rush now will force Mike and company to be more balanced. Running Rico more and hopefully a Vaughn sighting.
I thought they had a great idea yesterday. Use the pass to set up the run. Not with long shots down field but underneath. On 1st down instead of getting 1 or 2 yards they were getting 5 yards. Seems like they should stick with that.

I mean we have no proof they play "better" under Rush. The only example we have is what we saw yesterday in "garbage time".

This is not the same team as the one a few years ago he took over. Also the irony is that he got smacked up by the Eagles last time we saw him that year...and now he gets to see them again. Would be nice for him to get a little pay back there. His career may have had a complete different trajectory had he won that game or at least performed better.

the problem is whats going to force the OL to block the correct assignment all the sudden, or the D to all the sudden hold an opponent to 17 points or WR get some sort of seperation..that Atlanta D was the worst D we will face for a while...thats not good.
I don’t think they are going to improve at all. But it does force the staff to change things up and help the QB.

If he can manage a win streak against the Eagles, Texans (who are struggling), and Commanders (who might be 2nd best team in the conference), then everything I have seen of Rush for his entire career has been wrong.

i think they were already trying at some point its about Scheme with talent...and we are lacking greatly on both sides of the ball right now...What could they do to help Rush? run it for 2 ypc more? again that ATL defense was the worst defense we were going to face for weeks....I'm not directing this at what your saying im just thinking through this out loud after you comment honestly..

You play Trey Lance, that’s the only way you’re going to know what he really has, or not
I said it in another thread I don't think they play him unless they have to. I think they want to get him cheap as possible and right now the last time we saw him he threw 5 picks in a preseason game. Throw him out there and plays well now all of a sudden you have an expensive backup.

Funny thing is people that said don't remember sayin it.

The only thing we can agree on I will finally agree instead of snap all over you this is true that like people realize this but the same thing Atlanta did at the end of the game once Prescott went out the game looked like it was in hand you're trying to tell me they played Cooper Rush the same?

But of course it's he will have to do something different it almost started yesterday I'd like the game plan at the beginning and the way Rico is running but every time he turned around the offensive line was either being penalized or letting three guys through at the same time in the past blocking it just wasn't good and then even though the defense at times looked decent they had wide open 3 touchdowns we could have thrown those passes I mean a high school quarterback could have stood back and saw a dude running wide open three times standing by himself do we need to bring back the meme from the Green Bay playoff game where when you look at the receivers standing 5 yards in front of the goal line and there's not a single player in the picture by him that is what our defense does I don't think people realize how bad this team is but they are gonna have to do something different and then all of a sudden we'll have these ignorant posts about Cooper Russ is better he played better and then all of a sudden we're gonna get on a win streak as if Prescott was the thing holding us back this stuff is just heavy made-up I mean I understand everyone's wounded and upset and there's a lot of haters out there but Prescott is not our issue the offensive line the defensive line the coaching the scheme the play calling and the defense all come before Prescott.....

But back on track you are correct they will have to play differently because they're gonna make them not do the same things Prescott showed you yesterday he would be willing to run no matter what Jerry said because Jerry does not control what happens on the field and that proves it right after he said no I don't want Prescott running Prescott and runs and what happened a bad offensive line got him hurt again like in 2020 the dude's being sandwiched from both sides he's being pinballed he's trying to get through what is supposed to be a pocket and it looks like a minefield there's no way Cooper Russ can play in that they will have to put in Trey Lance because he's the only one he just used his legs and throw when needed turn this into a total rush fiorst offense...

He would get pulled for Lance.

If Lance does well...they will pull him for Dak so that Dak can complete the tank.

Dallas is not allowing anyone to take this team to the Playoffs unless all the players colluded and did it on their own.

Their mission is a good draft pick. Any single player trying to sabotage that is getting pulled. It would take the whole team to get together and agree that they are going against the FO and the Coaching staff.

We have not seen him with the starters, although our starters are like back ups. Throw him out there and he plays well, then you know what you initially traded for a starter

Any competent FO would take this opportunity to fight for that top pick or as close as they can get. So yeah, Coop will probably drag them to mediocrity and they will bench him whenever One Vote is available because they were dumb enough to sign him.

It may not take long it could organically happen guys,.

I mean Prescott is much bigger tougher and he can run the football when he wants to show that yesterday but with an offensive line like that how long is Cooper going to last before he's knocked out with an injury ??

we're talking about 3 positions including Martin but you get both tackles at some point now almost all letting their guys through at the point of attack that like hut hut and boom they're on the quarterback...

This offensive line reminds me of the growing pains from the 2020 season and it's the last time we lost Prescott at least it won't be for the season this time but when a man has a swollen hand and a hamstring and people in here saying he's faking injuries yeah I put that guy in ignore the fake Jerry dude saying all these injuries are because the league wants the Cowboys to be down right now like 20-20 but their injuries were real people..

But that's my point how long will Cooper Rush be able to last if they can't figure out how to block this up I'll find it very ironic if they change around and put Tyler Smith out at left tackle like we wanted and then put bass in at left guard and then put guyton in that right tackle!@!

I mean this is what should have happened anyway and you want they're gonna come out and do that and all of a sudden they're gonna run the ball 35 times the game and maybe that's what they should've done in the dang 1st and place before their quarterback got knocked out...

I bet Dakota gets well sooner? Seriously though do you keep Cooper starting or bring Dak back in after he has healed on a win streak?
Don’t worry JAG Rush isn’t going to do anything but get credit for losses that rightfully belong to Dak

Dak Prescott will sit out the next 3 difficult games and come back as a knight in shining armor Thanksgiving Day for the New York Giants lol.
