Oddly enough, I ran into an Eagles fan last night near the Santa Monica Pier. He was cordial, polite and very knowledgeable about the Cowboys. He even questioned if Hurts was a long-term solution after his rookie contract.

I had to state….”you weren’t raised in Philly right?” He wasn’t, from North Carolina, that explains his demeanor

Very little.

They probably have intense personal rivalries with individuals...but trust me if Philly offered Dak more money he'd get Fly Eagles Fly tattooed on his rear.

If we paid AJ Brown 15 mil more than Philly he'd use the liberty bell as a toilet

That's what seems to be the case. I don't see a lot of hostility between the players. At least not to the level of the fans. I'd imagine players would walk through each other's cities without a card in the world about the rivalry when not playing each other.

Hate is such an overused word. I know several Eagle fans. I’m actually friends with most of them, as we pretty much agree on most things. What annoys me are the Facebook memes and smacktalk they always instigate. Their delusion is frustrating. As for hate, I reserve that for unwarranted venom from strangers, as well as past atrocities like The Bounty Bowl, Michael Irvin’s cheer-filled injury, Buddy Ryan’s nonsense, and McNabb’s crying.

Lol…you can believe what you want to believe. You are such a homer it’s almost useless to discuss anything with you (even for Cowboy fans). I remember Eagles fans saying things like that that back in the mid 90s, but I haven’t heard any Eagle fan say anything of the sort in about a quarter century. Time does pass you know
I spent most of my career in government work moving every 1-4 years. So along the way I’ve met guys/gals from across the country. Many of them Eagles fans and they all have said that as long as we beat Dallas it’s a good year. And they’re ok going 1-1!!

If you heard an Eagle fan say that then you just ran into a stupid stupid fan. There are plenty of stupid/homer fans in every city. Go to the Eagles board and see how many posts you see about the Cowboys…and then check the history of subjects posted about the Eagles here over the last few years. It’s not close, really
Just listen to the local radio. I see it and hear it all the time living here for many years. Don't be blind. Those dumb fans were cheering Dallas sucks when we were winning Superbowls. Most around here never gave Dallas any credit for anything they had done. Dumb obsession with Dallas. Cause America will never embrace the Eagles.

Lol…think about what you’re saying. Of course they chant ‘Dallas sucks’. It’s tradition. And yes it’s still the biggest rivalry we have. I’m not anrguing any of that.

But for Dallas fans to sit here and say things haven’t changed? Hilarious. It’s pure denial. I’ve already seen several objective Dallas fans here admit it. Only homers don’t. For the last decade+, Cowboys fans have been much more obsessed about the Eagles than the other way around. Deny it all you want… But that’s all it is, denial.

Not me. The Cowboys have more playoff appearances and wins, more SB appearances and wins, more value as a franchise, a larger fanbase, better ratings, a bigger newer stadium, a better nickname, and a big lead in all time head to head matchups. Beyond being a jealous, bitter rival, the Eagles are irrelevant to me. I never bring them up unless one of their fans start something.

Their (Philthy fans) hate for the Cowboys is what sets me off. I always held them(city, team, fans) in a sort of contempt but after that lowlife Buddy Ryan stunt it solidified into hate. Let it be known I don't like any NFCE opponents but Philthy holds a dark place in my heart.

Never thought very highly of crybaby Vermeil either. Nick Sirianni's low class antics with the t-shirt and then following last year's first game that they played against our backup QB led team showed he fits right in as a lightweight POS.

No respect for the team, and definitely their coach and their vulgar fans. The city is pretty low-life too although I've only passed through it. Let's not forget the NFL Films special on Philthy's fan's hate for Dallas.

My screen name on a lot of sports (pro-football) boards is "EaglesRGuano"

Personal experience in their stadium over the years. I’ve shared it in the past and no need to repeat it all.

The worst of it was when I watched Michael Irvin carted off, picturing him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, while they cheered. I’m lucky I sprung for better seats that day or I’d have gotten a beating myself. I’ve never seen anything more disgusting in person in my entire life.

They are proud of being idiots and that championship they won recently is a low for society in general.

They aren't Fairweather....that's called schizo. They sell out 100% even when they suck. LOS angeles are fair weather...they'll just move on to something else if their teams suck and not lose sleep. Eagles fans might go nuts and punch a horse or burn cars, but you CANT call them apathetic
That’s a cool opinion coming from a poster with that avatar..

I don't hate the Eagles. I just hate the way some of their fans act. But hey there are some pretty arrogant Cowboy fans too.
To me the rivalries are long gone. Free agency has changed the game forever.

It sure has, and not for the better.
But the NFL got what they want, parity. But it makes it more exciting for the fans of all teams creating more excitement for the playoff push. That is fine. Adding the 17th game as well helps in that also.
One more week of fans hope they can squeeze into the playoffs, or a rival team is ousted.

The other side though, the greed, the players and owners, but that is ok, make your $$$ when you can. Not a one of us would not do the same thing.
However, with all the new TV contracts and PPV crap in Prime and Peacock now, the high price of NFL ST, is is screwing over the average fan.

The NFL is a monopoly, and makes so much money, they should give back to the fans, with all the charity talk they spew. So make it so all games are still available without paying, such as this Peacock deal, or Prime deal. NFL ST is fine for the out of market or non prime time games.

The fact that since Dallas came into the league, the Eagles had ZERO Super Bowl wins, yet continued to trumpet their team as being better than Dallas when they beat the Cowboys.

Imo, you have to earn bragging rights. The Cowboys have a 70-54 advantage over the Eagles, by the way....

I guess after the Michael Irvin injury......what has made me hate them more is because of their fans. They been pitiful even before that, but that did it for me. Good or bad philthy teams, i don't care...hate them. They don't deserve any happiness. Love that they have had severe recent disappointments in baseball, basketball, football, hockey ...:muttley: LOSERS.

Started in the late 1960s and early 70s when cowboys would beat them down bad. Once they were coined America’s team, it got worse.

I don't know which team has more annoying fans, the beagles or the cowboys?
