What up with Luepke

There have been talks of giving him a bigger role but so far his preseason has been a nothing so far. Is it all smoke and mirrors or are we saving him to have a bigger role in the regular season. The lack of usage is really confusing me.

Why all the angst about Deuce?

IF the OL is blocking well, he and every other NFL running back can be effective. And yes, he does have talent.

On the other hand, we saw him get knocked over with very little contact in limited action last year.

When all is well, he can probably put up some highlite plays. Can you carry him on the roster just as a runner? Don't see how.

Are they planning on carving out a big enough receiving role to justify a spot? Not impossible but again it's hard to make the numbers work unless they truly believe they can put someone on PS safely.

Do they believe the new return rules make him valuable there? Perhaps.

We'll get answers as to how they are thinking pretty soon.
