What was actually different today?

I’m on record as a execution over play calling guy. The team executed today and the results followed.

Curious what people noticed that was different? For me, the big thing I saw in the first half was that we basically ran play action on 90 percent of our pass plays in the first half.

Right there with you, been saying for weeks, players, coaches have been saying it.

Lol...and Dak just said it in his interview at end of game.

They play better at home esp in the first half for some strange reason. Now can this translate on the road?

I'm going to keep it simple and maybe even stupid to some. But they got the ball at half and gave ball to the Jags first...........They put their foot to their throat on both sides of the football and didn't give up.

I also think someone in the Cowboys organization saw from previous Jags games that they can't stop mobile qb's and made it priority to do so with Dak.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is now 10-2 when he’s rushed the ball at least five times in a game. He’s now 5-0 when rushing at least seven times. #CamNewtonOffensePlease

Don't forget -
Against the
#2 defense last season
#1 defense coming into tonight
With a win, Dak is 5-0 when rushing at least 7 times.
#LetDakBeDak

First time in stadium history we start 3-0 at home

Tidbits - Feed Zeke, Sign Beez, why the heck did we have Byron Jones at S for years?, thank you uncle Jerry for telling Stephen to stop babying Dak

It was a lot of things, but a major one was using Dak correctly. When they keep him moving as a run threat, it opens up the entire offense. That combined with actual aggressive playcalling for a change - the difference was obvious.

Getting to kick off and having the other team go 3 and out is what got the ball rolling................................

I think the Jags' defensive plan was to just do what they do, as opposed to doing what other defenses have done successfully against Dallas -- take Beasley away and blitz on 3rd down. Without Frederick's line calls, teams are better off blitzing us and running stunts, etc. That pass rush was very vanilla, and when Dak doesn't get consistent pressure, he's Good Dak.

You saw a offense very similar to the offense a you saw in 2016

If Scott ever goes back to that garbage he insists on putting out on the field I will go down there and kick his a** myself.

The OL had their best game of the year, imo. Williams still should be a backup at best, but he was only whooped half the time today instead 3/4 of the time.

We played a scheme designed to win as opposed to one designed not to lose. You have to attack defenses in the nfl, not the overused line "you take what they give you ". We did that today. With great results.
