What was actually different today?

Dak didn’t bail out of the pocket as much as some other games. He actually stepped up into the pocket and made a few throws. Which is what he needs to do more regularly.

His pocket presence wasn’t perfect by any means. But it was better today than it has been earlier this year.

I wonder how good Jacksonville really is?

They're a very good team with a QB that has the capability to be historically bad and give a game away. They know it. They sometimes can game plan around it. Tonight they couldn't.

They're also different with Fournette.

Play calling was good.
Execution was much better.
Daks passing was much improved.
Daks running was utilized.
Dak keeping his eyes up in the pocket and still completing the pass was great to see.
Defense was really good.
Winning turnovers is always good to see.

I noticed the same thing. Dak steppes up into the pocket more today. And threw the ball.

I hope he continues it.

The two main differences were Dak running the ball more and succesfully, and the fact that Jacksonville covered Beasley straight up for most of the first half.

I wondered how much coverage Beasley was getting.

It's incomprehensible why a team wouldn't double Beasley on a passing down, particularly 3rd. You can't cover him with one guy.

I haven’t watched them play at all so I don’t have much to add other than I know they were on their FOURTH left tackle in almost as many games, no Fournette and a few other injuries. We know Bortles sucks and without a running game he’s that much worse. Remember how many people say Dak can’t win without Zeke?

Their defense literally looked lost, I think they got straight out coached there. Dak also had all day to throw. It makes me wonder how they ever got their defense ranked that high to begin with. That’s by far the worst defense we’ve played and while I think part of it was our guys, I think most of it was play calling. There were guys WIDE OPEN all day, there’s not that much of a talent difference in the NFL where that should be happening as often as it did.

I thought the Giants looked bad Thurs night....wow, never thought I would see worse this season but I just did.

I saw the Jaguars play NE and they looked good then. Maybe NE needed a few weeks to get started though. lol

When we give up the run, teams can make Dak a pocket passer, which is what he is worst at.

Unless it's well in the fourth we should always be running, and running with Dak too. That's our best chance to move the ball, and opens up the passing game.

I think the success with letting him run and letting him role puts pressure on them to defend those instead of keeping Dak in the pocket, and Dak's success out of the pocket settles him down in it.

Yeah I worded it lazy. I watch all these games sadly......I'm aware somehow they are great at home this year but in years past its been different. The first time we've won 3 home games in a row since 1999?That's insane. We had a few 13, 11 and 12 win seasons in there and couldn't even do it those years?
I think it’s three in a row to start the season. I mean, they just a couple of years ago won 11 games in a row so it couldn’t be overall.

The offense catered to Dak's strength, made him the focal point. He is best on the move using his legs. Lets keep it that way
