What was actually different today?

OL plays better at home, where it's not as loud and easier to communicate up front. When the OL plays better, Dak plays better. Simple as that

OL played well was the biggest reason today happened the way it did.

The two main differences were Dak running the ball more and succesfully, and the fact that Jacksonville covered Beasley straight up for most of the first half. All of the big third down throws were to Beasley, and two of the TDs. I don't think that success will continue in future games, because I don't think any NFC East team is going to try and cover Beasley without giving help inside, and I think Dak is going to have to make throws to receivers on the outside in the future for the offense to be successful.

I'm not talking about this season I'm talking about in years past. I said "Somehow it shifted" at the end lol.
My man somehow it shifted online with no context means nothing to me being honest. Now that I know what you were talking about yeah I can agree with that.

I hope the plan is not to run Dak so much in the future is not in the gameplan, but rather him reading defenses better and running on his own.

Dak's running on read option!

That gave the team versatility on the offense and caught the Jags defense on one leg most of the time.

This. They did all the things fans have been begging them to do for weeks, namely the read option and more play action pass. Dak got protection and went deep.

Next two games are very winnable.

The team executed well overall. They moved Dak in the pocket, had him run more, we saw less of the comeback/curl type routes, communication on the OL was much better, WRs got lots of separation, took more deeper shots.

The guys played well and executed well but I think it was play selection that made the difference. Much more play action and roll-outs to set up both the run game and the pass game. Sitting in the pocket is not one of Prescott's strengths so I'm glad they had him moving around.

Plus, they played a full game today and not just a 1/2.

I’m going with a little of execution but primarily play calling. I don’t ever remember seeing a team play that bad on both sides of the ball, they were completely lost. I seriously doubt we’ll have our way with a team like that again for a very long while.

After watching Warshington today, that fool Gruden and their bad secondary we should still have a good game but they have a better offense. As bad as I think Gruden is, Jacksonville HC shouldn’t be coaching a high school team.

Yeah I worded it lazy. I watch all these games sadly......I'm aware somehow they are great at home this year but in years past its been different. The first time we've won 3 home games in a row since 1999?That's insane. We had a few 13, 11 and 12 win seasons in there and couldn't even do it those years?

I’m on record as a execution over play calling guy. The team executed today and the results followed.

Curious what people noticed that was different? For me, the big thing I saw in the first half was that we basically ran play action on 90 percent of our pass plays in the first half.

When we play against teams that struggle to move the ball (i.e. bad qbing) it allows us to do the things that we like to do at our pace. When we face teams that move the ball well, convert 3rd downs and score points at a high rate it make us press and it ask Dak to do things that he's not comfortable with.

linehan only does that at home games. the way oline has been blocking on the road games it makes it harder to call those plays.

I wonder how good Jacksonville really is?

Our Defense played even better today, which is short of astonishing .

Ohh, and dak threw for 182 instead of 82 .

As said above. OL did a better job. Dak was allowed or chose to make more plays with his feet. There was some more creative playcalling, as Tony noted.

Also, Dallas was against a good team with Bortles at QB. They didn't want to put the game in his hands, that made things easier on containment of their offense.

9 runs for Dak in the first half.

We ran Dak. We rolled Dak.

He's not a pocket passer. Today, we let Dak be Dak. And we crushed it.

We won't always have it work so right, but this has *always* been the way to play Dak.
