How could we moderate if we put people on ignore?

9 times out of 10 the people I'd put on ignore are the ones I'd want to watch closest.

Ignore isn't immature. That was a rather stupid statement actually.

Ignore is meant to keep someone from stepping out of line and getting banned. I wish more would use it. I'd have to moderate a lot less if people had the balls to do it. Yeah I said it. It takes balls to use the ignore feature. Not using it only takes a lack of intelligence. It's utterly stupid not to if you have issues with a poster. Beyond stupid in fact.

Hey some people like being stupid. I've never seen the attraction of it.

Like I said I really don't have issues with any posters, even the ones that pick on me regulary or whatever. I realize this is just an online chat forum....I can't help if some people take things way too seriously or take offense of my enthusiasm for Bledsoe. I really don't care if people think i'm a troll or some loser either. I don't live in a van down by the river or under a bridge. If some of these posters knew me in the 'real world' they might not think i'm that bad of a guy despite some of my opinions about cowboys football.

I'm a hardcore NFL fan in general....and I like reading what everybody says, even if it's downright ******** and makes no sense...if I were to put certain people on ignore it would take away from the debate aspect, especially with people who have the exact opposite viewpoint or opinion as I do regarding the QB issue and other things.....so yes I don't have the balls to do that then. :)

At least you admit it.

Don't expect me to find this chivalrous or admirable. I won't.

I'm the exact opposite of you on one thing. I'll never be accused of being a troll, because I do care. Think about that the next time someone calls you one and you object.

QB'S THAT ARE ALLOCATED TO NFLE ARE AUDITIONING FOR 3RD STRING JOBS OR A PRACTICE SQUAD SPOT.

Henson volunteered to go, so don't write it off as a negative. I would think that a few other QBs in this league would find benefit in doing so to continue getting playing time rather then running scout team. Heck, I would think David Carr would actually find better protection over there and be able to actually practice reading defenses rather than running for his life. With Henson being such a high-profile guy and improving his skills, don't be suprised to see more players allocated.

Invisible mode does nothing to stop this. Not one teeny tiny thing.

I wish more could figure out the ignore function. That glaring ommission truly pisses me off. It actually works.

I wish I could use it. I would.

Why? Watching people battle on the message boards is better comedy than Richard Prior ever gave.

It's like when I was in middle school and the geeks took their Magic or Star Wars: The Card Game so seriously.:lmao:

Talking about Ignore function, why was that option changed from being able to click on someone's userid and select ignore. Instead you only get the put this person on buddy list etc.

I guess Reality wanted to make this more friendly site? :) It used to be that way previously, now you have to go to User CP to do that it seems like.

Excuses, excuses, excuses

There is no way you can say one way or the other if Chutch would have fumbled anymore or any less. The sad part is that he was only sacked once but managed to fumble twice. I dont like that ratio at all.

nitpicking again are we? funny how you've conveniently stayed away from Henson's passing #s, can't really pick on somebody posting around a 90 QB rating can you?

I agree the stats show that Henson is less likely to fumble, however likelyhoods dont mean squat on the field.

the stats don't show Henson is least likely to fumble, they PROVE he's least likely to fumble, there's a difference

So you didn't see any of the game then?

Henson was under pressure quite a bit and was sacked only once. Hutchinson would have been sacked five or six times today, with three or four fumbles.

Thanks Adam I really appreciate your take since I know your post for a pretty long time now here and at sportsonly.

I am happy Henson is coming around and for some reason I thought he could be good with the experience he's getting now.

The ignore function still works the same way it always has.

No, trust me, before you could click on someone's user id, and with simple selection you could put someone on ignore, now you have to go to USER CP to do it or at least its not one of the menu options available when you click on USER ID.

When we did a recent software upgrade it must have changed the parameters then. I only know of the user CP method. That still works.

Yeah, I kind of thought maybe Reality changed code or options etc. anyway. Since I haven't used that function in long time, probably didn't notice that it might have changed long time ago too. But I usally tend to use it occasionally, it keeps me from getting in some useless arguments :D

Eh, speaking of board functionality it looks like one of the recent upgrades now links posts to a user's current avatar and post count instead of capturing a snapshot of both at the time of the post.

This might save data, but I think it's interesting to see how someone changes their avatar over time and what their post count was at a certain date. Yeah, it's a nit, but it was a feature I liked. I've seen this happen at other php sites, too.

I dislike the change so much I actually coded a change to retain the avatar and count on a friend's site (before yet another upgrade overwrote my changes).

This site has always had total post count, and current avatar. It won't show old avatars at all. The previous site did and posts were not by total but by sequential order.

Henson played a nice game.

Good mobility and escapability.

I really like the one play where he was under heavy pressure...Did like a 360 and still hit the I believe running back in like the blink of an eye.

He's starting to put it together...If he continues to do that the Cowboys are going to have a Fine player.

GO HENSON!

Henson looked good for most of the game, but was very dissapointing at the end. Couldn't hit his receivers when they needed to get some yards. Factor in the two fumbles, one of which should never happen (the centre exchange)

This was a step back from last week and extremely dissapointing to see him fail when he was most needed

Wow Henson has to be or will be close to being an all time great...How do I know this...

its easy as soon as HH31 decided he sucked...Just like he decided Jim Brown was some sorta ordinary running back...:lmao: and just like he would take Cunningham over Aikman... Good God Almighty:eek:

That is how I know...HH31 is probably the worlds worse judge of talent
