What was the 1 play that symbolized our season?

The long reception against Newman against the Stealers during the 3rd quarter? They were going nowhere until then....

Not this.

+1. That AZ game was just brutal.

Romo didn't get hit because he fixed his pocket footwork. He got hit b/c the left side of our line was fielding a 3rd string LG and a LT with an injury and a massive infection most of the year. That, and half of our games were against top-5 defenses.

Lmao....the new avatar is a bit creepy. What's the reference?

Let's face it, Sept-Nov they were OK.... December defines this team:

take your pick:

Romo's INT returned for TD against PIT.

Romo's duck to nobody againt PIT.

Back-to-back long runs given up by the defense vs Baltimore

Romo's fumble returned 73yds for a TD vs Philly

Barber's fumble returned 96yds for a TD vs Philly

Situations where Dallas just didn't do those tiny little things they absolutely needed to get done in order to win. One squad (offense/defense) working hard but being let down by the other, their efforts going to waste.

Was looking for something to turn the page on the 'quit whining' theme now that the draft's behind us. Wanted something that said 'hopeful team player,' came up with a latex stag mask. I think I nailed it.

The pic is just a product pic from the Archie McPhee site (http://www.mcphee.com/). Great place to buy bacon bandaids and narwhal v. unicorn playsets when you're looking for just the right gift for the wife.

Proctor not coming out of his stance and Romo running for his life.

That's a good one, too.

To many to pick from. But the ones the I remember most are the blocked punt and the Romo fumble against Philly for the TD.

4th quarter, home against skins, 3rd down, 12 men on the field

:laugh2:

Nice.

Since all of my candidates were already taken, I'll choose the best "non-play": Not giving the ball to Felix Jones vs. Washington at home.

I would say the sack in the cards game that would cost us Romo for a few games

I agree.

That one play involved all the elements that ship wreck this season:

1. Blown assignments
2. Mistakes
3. Lack of chemistry
4. Stupid play calling
5. Injury to key player(s)

Since it's slow, figured I'd throw it out there. :star:
Throwing the quick slant to TO that he then threw up in the air for an interception.

Good thread.

Blocked punt in OT againgst the Cardinals.

What about the missed Folk field goal just before the half? That goes over...no OT.....etc etc etc

That play changed the whole momentum of December. The Stealers were going nowhere until they made that one play. A win there changes everything.

If you say so....but the fact that they didn't even score on that drive suggests otherwise.

There were far more momentous plays last season than that one.

Here are some that come to mind......

1) Romo to Deshea Townsend

2) Romo to Ed Reed

3) McGahee 77 yards for TD

4) Anyone one on one with Cory Proctor

5) McClain for 82 yards for TD

6) Mike Jenkins vs Derrick Ward

...and yet Wade called out Newman in his presser....no biggee tho...

I agree. Witten slipping on his route and Romo throwing the int was a much bigger play.

A close second for me would be Romo not being able to turn his body enough to throw a TD to a wide open Roy Williams in the endzone vs Pittsburgh. :(

Ditto. This was definitely a season of missed opportunities. The team seemed to lack the mental sharpness to stay hungry and focused for every play. There were SO many mistakes made every game, seemingly every other play.
