1. Michael Jenkins' "business decision" in the first Giants game.

2. Any play with Brad Johnson at QB.

3. DeSean Jackson's "non-fumble" in the first Eagles game, with our guys standing around with the look of utter confusion on their faces.

Lack of heart = the play where Romo heaved the ball up for grabs against the Ravens and TO stood there and watched Ed Reed go up in the air to get it, then he commenced a piss poor effort to just grab at his jersey during his int return.

Roy Williams was standing there too. NOT defending #81 rather just elaborating on how sad that play really was.............

#3 is incorrect. Pacman picks the ball up fairly quick, but the official signaled TD.

If he took off w/ it any further hed get flagged for delay of game.

To me the play that symbolized the season was in the final game against Philly. Wade sent out the punting team on 4th & 1, Romo sent them back and went for it. Doesn't matter what the score was, who was right or that we converted. To me, that play symbolized the questionable leadership at HC, Romo's immaturity in a must-win game and a team, as a whole, that wasn't on the same page.

One play from 2008?

Felix Jones' kickoff return for a TD. It showed us just how much his explosiveness could help this team for the foreseeable future.

One huge play that I think often gets over looked, and actually helped lead to the injuries of Romo and McBriar, was that 3rd and forever in the 3rd quarter that Dallas allowed Arizona to complete on a swing pass type play to the back.

You probably remember it. Canty, or Spears, one of the D-Lineman tipped the ball, the runningback had to completely stop, caught it, and some how our defense allowed him to STILL run like 14 yards for a first down on 3rd and forever.

If we stop them there, it was a 3 and out, and they'd done absolutely nothing to that point and I think the game would have continued that way, Dallas wins in regulation, all the other stuff doesn't happen.

That one play gave them TONS of momentum and they went down on that drive, in fact, and scored a TD.

That play often is lost in the shuffle cause of the bad ones later on but I've always felt that one play totally changed the outcome of that game.

Its been mentioned before, but that play probably changed the outcome of the entire SEASON. You just can't underestimate momentum. Its completely intangible, but very real.

remember when Romo was INT'd in the endzone vs GB, Owens was knocked down at the 4, but got up and still managed to chase down the defender... heart.

Either one of Romo's INTs against Pittsburgh where TO first ran one of his patented "What the hell" routes and then failed to make even the tiniest effort to stop the defender from making the catch.

It was not a play, but Pac Man's " It's the Ram's, dude " summed it up for me.

Since it's slow, figured I'd throw it out there. :star:

Either one of the long runs at the end of the Ravens game. That about sums up the season.

The two long runs in the Baltimore game....but since I have to pick ONE play I'll go with the second run.

I'll agree with the 2nd run because it more symbolized the season for me. We went toe to toe but kept coming up short. We clawed back after mistakes cost us the first TD run and do it all over again, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Let's face it, Sept-Nov they were OK.... December defines this team:

take your pick:

Romo's INT returned for TD against PIT.

Romo's duck to nobody againt PIT.

Back-to-back long runs given up by the defense vs Baltimore

Romo's fumble returned 73yds for a TD vs Philly

Barber's fumble returned 96yds for a TD vs Philly

Situations where Dallas just didn't do those tiny little things they absolutely needed to get done in order to win. One squad (offense/defense) working hard but being let down by the other, their efforts going to waste.
I'll take #1 for $10,000.

I didn't read the whole thread, so this one may have been mentioned.

The first play I thought of when I read the title of the thread was the Giants TD run when the first-round pick didn't bother to even attempt to tackle the guy.

A lot of people, including many former Cowboys, believe the 2008 team lacked heart. That play epitomized "lack of heart."
