Also, liked when they beat the Commanders at RFK in '91.

my favorite all time game was either the 1992 NFC Championship or the 1999 comeback win against the Commanders in OT

The 1991 game at RFK against the 11-0 Commanders. Cowboys stood at 6-5, having dropped two road games in a row at Houston and at the Giants. Their playoff hopes looked bleek with a bunch of teams with winning records on their schedule. Dallas came out swinging with Aikman (and Beuerlein when Aikman got knocked out) going right after Darrell Green. Emmitt running hard. Going for it on 4th downs on several occassions. Hail Mary to Harper at the half to give Dallas a 17-7 lead. John Madden called it the best coached game he had ever seen, from Jimmy Johnson. Dallas went on to beat Washington 24-21 to hand them their first loss. Yes I know Washington went on to win the SB that season, but that win led Dallas to a 6 game winning streak at the end of the season and let me know that Dallas was gonna dominate for a long time in the 90s.
I truly believe the Commander game in 1991 is what really got the dynasty started. It gave them the confidence that they can beat any team in the league.

Even the weather was perfect. Leon Lett being stripped of the ball at the goal line only adds to the lore of that game. We should've won 59-10 (Buffalo's QB was past the line of scrimmage on one of their TDs) instead of 52-17. Think about that. And I had waited 14 years for that game to happen, so it's at the top of my list.
