Dak threw 3 picks two of which were his fault. He admitted himself that early in the season he did not pay enough attention to his mechanics and his accuracy struggled. He's fine when he has to drive the football but he lacks touch downfield.

He deserves flak for the game-he played bad football. I meant the flak about his ability to play QB in general.

Yes...so smart.

Now how does this logic translate into taking a quick crossing route to the house or a slant etc?

Well, considering that's all the QB has time to throw, it's not logical to expect it, because the defense knows what you'e doing.

Just watching SEA make plays down the seams and down the field, we dont run those plays because we have no one like Baldwin, Richardson, or Lockett to stretch.

Been saying that for 2-3 years now. We HAVE to target a speed WR in the draft. I was hoping for John Ross last year, but he went crazy high when he ran, what was it, a 4.28? I knew we'd never get him then.

Two of them were his fault? Did you watch the play? Butler broke off and curled while Dak expected him to flatten out. It was not on Dak but a miss communication from Brice and Dak. A bad throw, I get but putting that on Dak shows an agenda.

While I agree that game was the worst of his career and a pretty terrible performance overall, generalizing it as something that would make us all question his ability to play QB is a stretch.

Tom Brady's worst game:
14 of 28 for 123yds, 4 int 0TD 22.5 Passer Rating. Lost 31-0 (2003)
Aaron Rodgers Worst Game:
17 of 42 for 185yds. 2 INT Lost 21-13 (2014)
P. Manning had a 6 int game.
Big Ben had a 5 int game. 15 for 35 with 5 int?? He must not know how to play QB..

Dak looks terrible at times and other times, drops dimes into very tight coverage. That game had several plays that could have turned the tide but it didn't work out that way. I'd suggest we give him more time than to fall back on his draft status and say 'Gee, they were right after all'. If he doesn't work out, the Cowboys may need to do a wild draft day trade to get a new QB unless you think Copper Rush is the answer?

It's in everyone's best interest that Dak is our franchise QB.

I can't tell if you think we're agreeing or disagreeing here, so let me clarify. I thought he played terribly this weekend v. PHI, as he has previously in games v. NYFG. Overall, I think he's a tremendous 2nd year QB and it's laughable and embarrassing that we've got fans who want to now bail on him because he's captaining a 5-5 team that got spanked twice in games where he's been sacked a combined 12 times against good defenses.

Nonsense. Butler had already ran the curl when Dak was flushed from the pocket. The DB was inside and had Butler run inside he was there. Dak flat missed the throw.

Should have traded for Martavius Bryant while he was in the dog house. But hey, at least we have great blocking receivers. LOL

It’s not that we don’t have speed. We do not know how to utilize speed!!

Butler runs a 4.37 40

The biggest problem with Butler has been that his hands are a tad too unreliable.

Other than that, he can be quite dangerous when he's able to hang onto the ball.

I'd like to see us throw to him more often but it appears the staff doesn't trust him.

Totally disagree and so does all of the coaches and talking heads.. It appears you're by yourself on that take.

the answer its in the next draft, if we want a true #1 WR take Courtland Sutton, his playing skills its very similar to terrell owens.

James Washington will run about 4.4x
Calvin Ridley will run a sub 4.4

Dallas runs vertical a lot. It's just almost exclusively outside the numbers.

The horizontal routes are mostly within 5 yards of the LOS, usually towards the sideline.

They rarely attack the deep middle and seams.
I am sure they know this, they are just risk averse and they have made it a priority to not let Dak throw balls into crowded areas.

I agree but if our guys are not threats to take something to the house like we were trying to do...how effective could it be? I realize Dak's smoke screens left a lot to be desired last game but generally, speed kills and we don't have any.
