We had the best QB available this spring. But the O line fell apart. every break we could have got went the other way. Flo's injury; RIvera disapointing; Pettiti not being able to get it done; Johnson not improving. Each one of them going the other way and we have a solid line and we are in the playoffs. When 4 out of 5 disapoint or are injured there is nothing you can do about it- your offense will be offensive.

at some point friend you have to say that may just be bad coaching...

eventually you have to make your own luck...

I wasn't opposed to that idea. Reallistically, it would have meant another losing season. And at the end of the season, I am not so certain that it would have been clear if either would be capable of being the QB. Behind this o-line, very few questions seem to be answered. Everything is what it is now. Bledsoe is the QB. He doesn't cost a lot. The line has to be fixed anyway, so right now there is no reason to get rid of Bledsoe unless a very good QB is suddenly available to Dallas.

but what differance did it make in having a winning season and missing the playoffs and having a losing one and building towards a realistic future...

I would rather have been 6-10 and have some idea what we have at QB or at least what they need to work and a high draft position than be middle of the pack...with very little in the way of future prospects at some very key positions

That is why I wasn't opposed to the idea of going with the young guys. Dallas signing Bledsoe meant that wasn't going to happen. Dallas was in it until the end. I don't think that would have been the case with one of the young guys. That was the risk this season. It is clear that Bledsoe is going to be the guy. The young ones are only going to have practice and pre-season to show anything. That is what they are going to have to make do with for the next 2 or 3 seasons. Hope it works.
