I'll miss the fact that somebody other than Jerry was making the football decisions.

Damn. The hate towards Bill is strong here. You know what they say... be careful what you wish for. You fellas want the old Jerry system back, you got it.

Amen to that. I saw Larry Lacewell at Jerry's Unveiling Party. Those 2 were talking at length. Not a good thing if Larry comes back as a "consultant."

I'll miss the historic quotes during PCs. "Consider yourself sucked" was my personal fav. I fear all PC from this point forward will be a snorefest.

CowboyJeff = voice of reason.

The worst GM in football is back in charge of hiring a coach and conducting the draft. Be afraid, very afraid.

I don't know.... I had my gripes about the Tuna, but overall, I had a lot of respect for the man, and I'm sad to see him go. I'm a little disappointed that so many fans are thrilled about his departure and gloating over it so eagerly on cyberspace. So here's a little something to bring out the positives with ol' Bill.

What will you miss most about Bill Parcells?

For me, the press conferences. I freaking loved Bill Parcells press conferences. No one could make reporters his female dog as skillfully as Bill. Jimmy could do some things with the media, but I've never seen a coach until Bill who could handle the dumb questions so well. But it wasn't just that, it was also Bill's natural born teacher side. If you wanted to be a football coach, you listen to enough Bill Parcells press conferences and he'll teach you how to be one. He was always open to sharing his perspectives on coaching, how he motivated players, strategies he thought were successful or unsuccessful. You could tell he really had a passion for coaching and liked to pass his experience on to any reporter who really wanted to pick his mind. Streaming the daily press conference from the Cowboys website was always something I looked forward to, no matter what the record. I'll really miss them and don't think I'll listen to them as much with whomever replaces Bill.

Me too. :(

Hope I'm wrong, but I think we are headed backwards. Compare the roster now versus four years ago. Parcell's was good enough to take a group of mostly average players and get this team in the playoffs his first year. People forget the record before Bill was 5-11. Sure the second year was bad, but he had blown it up by that time and was bringing in his guys, so the talent still sucked. Looking now, the talent is up to where it is probably overall in the top third in the league. The man could coach, but I'm not sure he could motivate, nor could he adjust on the fly very well. Probably during the week he was super, it just didn't always translate on the field on Sundays. All that said, he will be hard to replace by anyone. Also, the press conferences were indeed priceless. He never lost control, and handled almost every question with keen wit and insight, that few will have. I'll miss him, but I've already moved on. It is what it is and its over. Time to roll out a new plan. Still pains me that Peyton walked away. He had most of Parcell's' good traits, plus he is more inovative and seems to adjust quickly on the fly. Wonder what he could have done with this team last year.

Uhyea. Jones has done a bang up job. Multiple losing seasons between Jimmy and Bill. Your statement could very well be the dumbest I have seen here in months.

I will def miss his PC, they were the best in football. But what we all will miss, is the fact that he kept Jerry away from this team, as much as possible. I know that on the W-L side of things, his tenure here was dissappointing to everyone, but wait for 4 years and see how many horrible players we have on this team with JJ calling the shots. I truely hope he has learned from Parcells that a Coach needs to call the personal shots. I break out in a cold sweat at the thought of another decade of JJ running the draft board and bring in the FA he wants,, they will be the big names at huge contracts, much like the Commanders.

I really hope that Parcells legacy here in Dallas, is one that can be looked back on and we realize he taught Jerry Jones how to run a NFL team. If so, then we has Cowboys fan owe him a big round of thank you's and blessings.

Thanks for the compliment. You don't think JJ is the best owner in the NFL? Most in here do.

Jerry is a great owner. He will spend his money on what HE thinks is talent.
Thats where the problem comes in. JJ sucks as a GM. Aikman said that Johnson ran this team when he was here. I would guess Aikman would know.
Parcells ran this team when he was here, we are way,way better for it.
There are many lean years in between not only in wins but also in gathering talented players.

So to say JJ is the best owner/gm is ...... well dumb.

His pressers were stupid. Who cares about his personal life. I dont see what was so humerous about his pressers, hes talking down to reporters, he never tells them amything they can use, he put the team down as often as he could in an attempt to ground them, he shot the wings off the team.

I wont miss anything about the fat ***. I am glad hes gone and wish he were out of Dallas Yesterday. 2 weeks of him hanging roundd bothers me. Just cut ties with the loser and move on.
