What Would A Loss to New Orleans Mean?

A loss pretty well ensures that we don't make the playoffs. That's my opinion of it.

A perfect weekend, if we could have one, would be Dallas winning and then the Eagles and Giants losing. Now that would be a special weekend.

Even if the Giants lose and we somehow win, Dallas would have to lose out and NY would have to win out for them to make the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if Washington plays spoiler this week; they've been playing really well lately.

You'd be willing to say it? Well, woooo hoooo! What a surprise coming from an Eagles fan.:laugh2:

Who obviously didn't watch the 49ers last night. They looked strong on both sides of the ball. I had little hope of a 49ers win in Philly before that game. Now I give them as good a shot as I give Denver the following week.

Don't get me wrong, I still see both teams having less than a 50/50 shot of pulling off an upset.

But I'm certainly not willing to conceed 2 more wins for the eagles.

I would say a loss opens the door for NY. However New York seems to have some problems of their own right now so them going 3-0 the rest of the way is far from a given.

Here's an interising scenario no one is considering and rightly so because it proabably has less than a 1% chance of playing out.

We beat the Saints Sunday Night. The Eagles and Giants both play two more games before we face the Skins next Sunday night.

Well if the Eagles and Giants lose all 4 games, the Skins game may have little to no meaning.

Giants would be eliminated and we'd probably have the 6th spot clinched.

The division winner would still be the winner of our week 17 eagles match-up regardless of what we did in Wash.

I'm actually not nearly as hopeless regarding this season as I was yesterday.

There's still alot of football left to play, and who knows what can happen? Unfortunately I won't be able to watch the game on Saturday, but at least my disappointment has now been replaced with cautious optimism (though this happens every week around this time and I am more than typically let down by the teams performance).

In any case, the playoffs aren't written yet and we still have a chance to change the way things are going.

Good try ...

Listen, the eagles last two games are ...

49ers in Philly
Broncos in Philly

The 49ers expent everything they had to beat the Cardinals ...everything is on tape and I don't think Andy Reid is going to miss a beat.

The Bronco have Brian Dawkins and the Eagles taught him everything he knows.

At best you're looking at maybe a 50% success ratio from your scenario; again, I can't speak for the Giants ..they seem to be on one minute, and off the next. The Skins are inddeed getting Better.

...the Cowboys will see just how far they are from being a championship team this saturday at the Superdome...they are going to meet another team that does'nt quit...they are going to watch a proficient and balanced offense finish them off with precision...and, if what little of their psyche remains after that pummeling they can still make the playoffs then kudos to them...if it goes the way it went in '06 then good luck with that...

The Cardinals losing last night really sucked, because it takes the pressure off the Vikings to beat the Giants and gives the Cards less of an incentive to beat the Pack. Screw you Brenda Warner! :lmao:
