Obviously a win in Philly would mean a lot for the standings because if this team plans on winning the division they need to close the gap.

But this game will not actually determine that. There’s still 10:games left and there will be tons of surprises between now and the end of the season. It’s a big game for sure but beating them in the playoffs would be bigger.

Although it’s a divisional game , which are all important, it’s an opportunity for Dallas to prove that the Niners and Cards games were an anomaly .

I still believe we need a roster upgrade to get closer to the Eagles and Niners but I’m feeling reasonably confident that we win this next game.

Keep poking the bear.... the Rams are 3-5, so guess what? The Rams aren't very good.

Giants - 2-6
Jets - 4-3
Patriots - 2-6
Chargers - 3-4

Are you seeing a trend here?
And the Eagles have beaten only 1 ONE, team with a winning record (Dolphins). And it took the refs to help win that game.
Actually 2, but that one had a losing record at the time. I mean that fits into your analytic narrative. They only became a winning record by barely beating the hapless Giants. I am referring to the Jets.

Be fair in your comparisons. But you can't.

Some one made a thread saying next weeks game is not a must win. However, here is what a win or a loss means as to % of winning the division.
yes, many more games to go.

No playoffs is currently at 23% and a win moves us to 13%. A loss drops us to 25%. A win increases our HFA from 11% to 18%

An Eagles win or loss does not change much of anything for them. It just increases their HFA to 65% from 55%. A loss also decreases their chance for the division from 55% to minus 37%. If I looked at that correctly.

So this game means more to Dallas than it does the Eagles as far as that goes. Therefore to me it is a must win to put ourselves in control of the NFCE. Also on the path to HFA. As we are tied with Seattle at 11% for that behind Philly
http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/eaglesstandings.html

Beat Philly, then they have a bye week, we play the Panthers. We can get even with the Eagles at 7-2, but technically be in first with the 1 game head to head.
So Dallas can control it's own destiny with a win.
Something that I feel has been lost since the 90's Team is serious talk about homefield advantage. Maybe because of the parity these days and several teams going from nothing to something, but 90's Boys always took this serious, was a big subject in weekly local press, and hope current team is that serious about it too, especially with their unusual homefield and turf advantage outlier record. They need this. The win they needed for confidence and to shake the monkey was the 49ers. This is a playoff implication game, and if they do watch all the media (which looks like at least #11 does LOL), this is a statement game to prove they are for real. No one will give them the benefit of the doubt as a true contender until they beat someone worth it. Spanking a Rodgers-less Jets, or a Kelln Moore II Game, or a Rams Team that is far removed from its Super Bowl self, is not a statement game.

How bad is the Hurts knee injury. I know he barely runs anymore. An injured Hurts helps us a lot. Let's hope it's more serious than they are letting on.

I’m glad we won yesterday but I was hoping for more of a struggle so Jerry would get some urgency before the trade deadline. Instead, the blowout win just affirms what he thinks…… the team is fine and no need to get out his comfort zone, make some calls, and swing some trades.

It’s a pain tolerance injury mostly, he ran a bit against Washington but then has a limp for a few plays afterwards

It increases Dallas' chances of winning the division which to me is vital.

Oddly enough this team is a monster at home, on turf.

Well, his running has been a big part of his game. That's how they extend drives. He is a very poor passer. If he can't run we win easily. His passing makes Dak look like Montana.

it would be a + mental boost and an imprtant statistic in the W column. Its quite possible they come out on the short end next week as well and it will mean just as much a possible mental block in terms of winning IN Philly but not much more than an L

there is a real possibility they could lose that game but be 10-3 heading into the 4 game guanlet at the end of the year. They could lose 3 of 4 and stumble into the playoffs. Or they could surprise some folks

Another game against a bully. But we know this bully quite well, and actually whip him on a regular basis.

Philly is a very good team, but not as good as they were last year as they are giving up some points on D, and scuffling on offense at times. Dallas is starting to put things together at the right time.

Gonna be a dog fight in a nasty place to play. Huge game for Dallas. We will know a lot about the Cowboys on Sunday
Since when have the Eagles been our bully?
