If dallas thinks they can find someone cheaper and better or equal in talent/production, then you let him go. Same as they should do with every one else.
Agreed.
I've watched Spencer play and he hasn't been a "car-wreck" out there.
I'd rather have him than Selvie.
Spencer isn't going to be expensive to resign IF the Cowboys choose too.
I could see the top-4 DE's being this group:
Mincey
Lawrence
Rookie
Spencer
Maybe Gardener is the 5th DE.
Spencer, Carter and Carr.. If we can upgrade these positions the defense can be scary..

Would you keep Spencer next year? I don't think I would.
my biggest complaint about spencer is the way he has been in the league several years ...yet still does not understand what it means to hold contain.
quit biting on every play action and option route known to man.
The good:
The bad:
Will be 31.
Has never played in the 4-3.
Coming off microfracture surgery.
Hasn't done jack this season.
Likely done.
The ugly:
Sam Cassell.
Spencer, Carter and Carr.. If we can upgrade these positions the defense can be scary..
In one draft? Good luck.
Wasn't this basically done between 1991 and 1992 through the draft and trades in one offseason?
There's this thing called the salary cap in place now. It didn't exist then. Seriously?
