What would you give for Trent Richardson?

I just see a lot of similarities to the McClain situation. If he is cut, it seems like a low risk move that Jerry would make.

The only similarity is they both went to Alabama. Rolando didn't want to play football, T-Rich just can't.

The big dissimilarity is that RoMac was basically on a vet min deal and Richardson is due a guaranteed $3.18M salary for next season. Would anyone pay him that if he were a FA right now? Hence he has zero trade value.

Just because a guy was drafted high doesn't mean he is any good. Scouts miss on guys all the time. Man, the Browns drafted Weeden and Richardson in the same 1st round.
Then, last year they drafted Gilbert and Manziel in the 1st round. 2 busts and probably 2 more busts last year.

Why trade for a guy who will probably be cut? He is such a huge disappointment in Indy that they will more than likely part ways with him after the season.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson missed Saturday's walk-through in Indianapolis and will miss Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots because of a family situation.

"I had to miss walk-through," Richardson told ESPN.com on Sunday. "I'm dealing with a very serious family emergency. I'm still at the hospital. I wouldn't purposely just miss walk-through."

you are taking this thread too serious. Richardson isnt worth discussing.

Richardson just doesn't seem to have any burst or vision.

When I see the guy run, I see "Eddie George".

He simply runs into the back of an offensive lineman and falls forward.

People see the name and remember the college career. The guy hasn't even been average as a pro. Once his rookie deal expires, he'll have a difficult time making a roster.

Right now it's touch and go if he will even be on team next season. Murray being a Colt is more likely. A 3rd would be insanity.

Eddie was a workhorse and extremely productive his first 5 seasons. Trent has been a bum since basically day 1.

IMO, Richardson has a chance to live up to his hype if he drops a lot of weight.

He's just too fat out there and needs to get to his college playing.

He literally has demonstrated no special attributes as a runner, and has had some knee issues. Wouldn't give up anything for him.
