I'd give nothing for Trent... don't want him, don't want to pay him.

Didn't play last week and didn't make the flight to NE. Not sure what his "personal problems" are at home but it better be a good excuse to miss the biggest game of his life today.

He may not be a RKG, but I still think the talent is there and someone can get it out of him in the right situation. I'm on my phone and wasn't sure if this hypothetical has been brought up, please forgive if it had.

I'd give up a 4th, maybe a 3rd if I felt like he had his head on right.

I hate the off season

This is the third or fourth time I've seen someone mention Trent Richardson as an RB option. As someone who lives in Indy and watches them regularly, let me make this clear:

Trent Richardson is AWFUL.

He is currently Indy's third string back. Indianapolis has already had two season-ending injuries to RBs, so he is essentially the FIFTH best back on the team. He plays a handful of downs and barely touches the ball.

He is garbage.

That's funny.

A 3rd? Are you ******* kidding me? Indy would have to pay us to take him in, nobody is going to pay him 3 mil and give up a draft pick for that bum.

No offense, but I wonder if some around here have actually watched Richardson play the last 3 seasons.
He has been truly dreadful....really one of the worst backs in the entire league.

In fact, For someone that's had as many carries as he has, I'd like to know the name of one player that has performed worse.

Please, look it up.
I'd be curious if even one single player has been worse, given the 5-600 carries the guy has already had.

Nothing. The guy has returned nothing on the investment two teams have now put into him. He has no vision as a runner and doesn't break enough tackles. He has alligator arms which make him an ineffective receiving back and his blitz pick-up has gotten several QB's killed.

On the open market with a Jerry Jones one-year prove it deal, sure. I wouldn't give anything of value for him though. If this was the NBA I would possibly give up one of our poor contracts.

Richardson just doesn't seem to have any burst or vision.

When I see the guy run, I see "Eddie George".

He simply runs into the back of an offensive lineman and falls forward.

Eddie George was actually a good player in this league at one time.

2004 Eddie George– 132 carries, 432 yards, 3.3 ypc

2014 Trent Richardson– 159 carries, 519 yards, 3.3 ypc

Yep. You've convinced me.

Night & day.

You must mean a worn down and old Eddie George.
Was that may the his last year before retirement?
If thats what you mean, that probably somewhat true.

Not a young, fresh out of college Richardson who has now put up crap numbers for three seasons.

It is true that George was not a big ypc guy.
But he did have 5-6 straight 1300 plus yard seasons...and maybe 8-9 in all.

He was far better than TRich.

He is untradeable because he has a guaranteed salary. He is not worth what he is presently being paid.

I wouldn't mind bringing him in on a vet min. contract if he wanted a chance to rejuvenate his career but I honestly think he checked out after getting paid.

He's not untradeable, as evidenced by the fact that Cleveland was able to trade him to the Colts. With that said, I agree that his production to this point doesn't justify his current salary and I wouldn't want him on the Cowboys.

Changed my mind, trade for him with Chris Jones :omg:

Chris Jones net average for last year was still 7 yards more than Richardson's career long run of 32 yards (in over 600 carriers).

Jones sucks, but its still too much.

Let's compare Eddie George in the twilight of his career to Trent Richardson in his prime. I'm sure that's a valid comparison.

No possible way a 4th or 3rd. He was inactive in the playoff game last week and he is not injured.

If you trade for him you inherit his 3.1M salary. It's best to just wait until he gets cut at which point you could bring him to training camp.
