What would you give up to get Clowney?

I know we have needs all over the D, but would you give up 1st and 2nd and a 2 next year if it would get Clowney? I am guessing it would take 2 1's but that would be too rich for me. Would help us not be as reliant on Ware regaining his form. Just curious.

I personally would rather wait for the combine and pro days to see if another defensive player pushes him for the top spot. Seems to happen every year. If he drops a spot or two, then maybe... but not really.

Giving up more draft picks for one player will only set this team back even more. There is not one player in this draft to give up the farm for, the last one was Luck.

I heard a draft guy on the NFL Network compare him to Mario Williams and Jevon Kearse. Not exactly ringing endorsements of guys who fulfilled their potential.

Nothing. This team needs more than one player. Dallas needs to draft well this May and hope they can hit on at least three day-one starters.

I'd give up DeMarcus Ware. Don't think anybody would take him for the 1st pick of the draft anymore haha.

I agree. I think Clowney will be a good player but not worth using multipul picks to get and in the meantime as you suggest this defense needs more than 1 solid pick.

Talk about a fantasy league:

Ware and a third-round pick this year and a fourth-round pick in 2015.
But I don't think the Texans will go for it.

Thanks! I would love to see Clowney in silver and blue but this is not the 90s team and the Cowboys are not one monster defensive player away from winning championships.

The #16 or #17 overall pick and a 5th rounder or later. This team otherwise needs to just hit on the picks they have and treat them as cap assets. Not having a 2nd rounder contributing (Claiborne pick) is hurting us as a team that is up against it in terms of the salary cap.
