What WR would you Take?

I'm someone who doesn't believe we need a WR with the TE, RB and WR group we have to catch maybe 300 balls this year, considering we'll run more. BUT, if i was to consider one dark horse, if he's healthy, which i don't know if he is, it would be Dante Hall, but he's not signed so he's probably not healthy.

Pretty everyone available at this point is awful or has some kind of character issue (Plax, Matt Jones, etc.). The only real options are to trade for someone (deathly afraid of that) or just go with what we have (only slightly less scary). Should've drafted a WR earlier.

I kinda like Koren Robinson just for depth just in case Hurd or Crayton get injured. Instead of signing him mid-year he could be on our roster from training camp. I still think we should trade for Roscoe. It makes just too much sense.

I was thkning earlier that if the commish doesn't suspend plax, he could be a steal, and he is a hell of a player.

I am not sure I would, but he is the only one I would even consider. Dude is a baller.

I think the combination of Roy, Witten and Crayton is more than enough to get it done providing they all do what we know they can do.

Agreed 100%. If Plax could get his act together, he and Roy Williams would be a deadly combo.

Not gunna even lie..Plax would be legit here. Then reality sets in and I realize he is a ******* and a slob to society.

Plax coming here would be nearly as bad as bringing Pacman back. This whole offseason has been about "chemistry" and cleaning up the character issues. All of that's out of the window if Plax puts on a Cowboys' jersey. Plus he's going to jail.

Amani Toomer or Marty Booker for veteran leadership and insurance might interest me.

Not much beyond those 2.

I thought about Toomer, but he probably stunts someone's growth by being on the roster. Unless he were willing to be the 4th or 5th guy, I wouldn't want him (and you have a problem there because I doubt he'd want to play on ST).

Bring him in for training camp and all of the preseason games. Cut him the day before the guaranteed veteran contract thing with the CBA kicks in and sign him again the day after.

Same with Plax. I really wouldn't want the person he is on the team, but I do like the player he is. Either way, that's a LOT of publicity to be draggin through Dallas.

I like to think that D.J. Hackett would be an interesting player to bring into camp.

Hackett and Drew Bennett both recently worked out for the Buccaneers and they passed on both.

If anyone is truly honest with themselves, they would see that Burress and Matt Jones should be one-two on any list of teams looking for veteran help, character issues be damned. Otherwise, the choices are not anything better than what we have and hardly worth paying for if they are on the roster opening day.

Burress is still a top 5-8 WR in this league.

He may be an idiot, but he was a thorn in our side every time we faced him.

I would barf if we got Plaxico.

He is a wannabe thug.

He Purposely tries to create controversy.

Plus since we have Roy Williams already he wouldn't really compliment him.

burress is better after the catch than roy is, at least that's how I see it.

and I don't buy the wannabe thug thing, just cause he shot himself doesn't make him a wannabe thug, but that topic has been gone over ad-nauseum.

Him shooting himself is just the start of it.

He brought a lot of unecessary drama to his team long before that.

My favorite Plaxico blunder was when he blew up on Coughlin in a game where The Giants completely blew someone out.

Burress just wants controversy and he'll go out of his way to get it.

You put him in Dallas and it would be like throwing a match on gasoline.

No team can trust that guy.

And Plaxicos Yac has 0 to do with him complimenting Roy well. We need a shiftier more polished route runner type opposite of Roy.

Roy's game is a lot like Plaxicos and we've already commited long term to Roy so there is no need to bring in Plax.`

And not a thing you said legitimized your thug comment.

Burress is no different than many other high maintenance WRs. It goes along with the position.
