What's Stopping Dak's Agent From Getting Him The Same Type Of Deal Again?

What's in the way of it being another situation of Dak's owed so much money in his last year that the Cowboys can't afford to not extend him 4 years from now?

Do we really want to pay a 35 year old Dak 75-80 mil his final season?

Are we just going to keep extending him until he retires?

Where does it end?

That wasn’t all of Daks fault. That was dumb and dumbers fault for restructuring his contract prior to last season. Some of us told you this was coming. You didn’t want to hear any of it

At some point, you just have to rip the Band-Aid off & live with the short-term pain.

Extending Dak at this late date is insanity.
That would be now.

Pay him the stupid money this year and get it over with because it's just going to get more stupid 4 or 5 years from now.

If we have to lose players because of it then so be it. Lesson learned.

Agree... I think any FA qb can take this roster to the same place as dak. It might not be 12-5 but i'm sure he can get us to the wildcard lol.

A drunken Jerry jones is the only thing between Dak’s agent and that outcome.

Good luck everybody!

So we can have a Superbowl Champion QB for 2.5 million, a QB that just took a fairly average team to the play offs winning a game in the post season for 4 million or a bum QB with the worst playoff record in NFL history for what would be circa 55 million...wow it's such a tough decision

Baker Mayfield matched Dak in career playoff wins last week also.

Dak would probably improve some other teams but Dallas is longing for a Super Bowl and not just to make it to the playoffs and be happy with any result.

Jerry isn't going to do that. That's worse than if you just June 1st cut him. Which we both know he isn't going to do.
