Randy looked very good in week one. He was injured and missed time as we all know. Since he's been back I just never see him on the field. Are the working him back in slowly due to injury, what gives?

Two things. 1. He is bring worked back in slowly. Like 9-14 snaps a game. 2. He plays behind the biggest difference maker we have on defense. All pro DE.

By his own admission, he's mentally unsure of his ability to avoid re-injury to the ankle that had the high ankle sprain. In addition to that, his activity is being closely monitored to ensure he won't overdo his return to action. I'm not really expecting him to return to "full throttle" until this season is almost over. High ankle sprains are nororiously tough to recover from. The risk of re-injury is typically a nagging one.

I don't think he's 100%. Plus he is coming off a high ankle spring.

Give him time, this isnt really the year to shine and risk injury over. Im a bit more sold on him than other players, so im willing to wait. Id be more concerned with HItchens and DLaw, where the fans have been so waiting for some good players to come through and its been a rarity lately.

He is going through what I expected when people were predicting the second coming. He is adjusting to he NFL level of play. That "normally" takes most blue chippers (not named La'el) a good year.

Yea like it will matter by then. Why don't we rest them all and draft a qb and anybody else we can.I am of trading them all here and starting over.If you or I had a high ankle sprain and didn't go to work we would be fired.I am just tired of excuses.Working them back in slowly got us to 2-6.

He's a typical modern athlete. Can't play through an injury. And when he does play he's ineffective. Not mentally tough enough to make a difference.

Why do people feel the need to start a new thread for every Cowboy related thought they have going on in their head?

Gregory is a rookie coming off an injury that tends to linger. They're slowing him back in. That. is. all. After every game someone starts a thread on each player on the team saying "What's up with ____________?!" His current lack of production is far from a mystery if you use just a little bit of critical thinking.

They just aren't as mentally tough as they used to be. Seems there's a lot more nagging injuries that keep players off the field these days. I can remember players being banged up and still influential on the game. Seems Romo is one of the last of a dying breed

is this a real thing that a real human being said, or are you trolling?
this is among the dumbest things I've ever read on CZ, and that is saying A TON.

I'm serious. What's so dumb about it?

Players today may be bigger but they damn sure ain't tougher than older players. There's very few players in the league today that are mentally tough enough to play through injuries and still influence the game. Tony Romo is one of them. Randy Gregory is not

wow, this complete and utter nonsense was serious. I'm speechless.
Player's bodies from 30 years ago wouldn't be able to handle today's NFL.
"They just aren't as mentally tough." Holy ************ that is the dumbest thing I've ever read, from the armchair psychiatrist sitting on his butt typing on the internet.

I wish we were in the days of players dying on the field or screwing up the rest of their lives playing through injuries.

Well whether you're blown away by it or not, it's true. Most players today miss games for the smallest little nagging injuries.

Being bigger has nothing to do with it. Because they are all bigger and stronger. What's the difference if two 200 lb men hit each other or two 250 lb men hit each other? It's not like one guy is bigger and stronger and the other guy stayed the same size as a player from the 80's

he's a rookie playing 15 snaps a game because of an injury that tends to linger a while, but suddenly we have morons here declaring him mentally weak while eating cheetos at their computer. once again, you people never cease to amaze me. the amount of things you think you know that you have absolutely no idea about is baffling. trust me, you are not nearly as intelligent or "in the know" as you apparently think you are.

do you know anything about velocity?
two bigger objects hitting each other at faster speeds is going to cause more damage to each object than two smaller objects at slower speed.

nothing you're saying is based on any kind of evidence or fact, it's just senile nonsense. please provide evidence or stats of players missing time throughout the decades compared to now. you have no clue what you're talking about. stop spewing nonsense. and i'll be sure to get off your lawn!!!
