That was me that said that.......the one the also thinks it's lame to call someone mentally weak from the sideline with no info
What does me not being an NFL player have to do with being able to comment on players not playing through minor injuries?
If that's the criteria then shut this website down. Cause that's all we are doing is discussing Dallas Cowboy football.
I think most players today are mentally weak and not as tough as players used to be. You disagree. That's fine. I have not called anybody any names. You both have. I've tried to discuss what I thought about this subject and explain my reasoning for those thoughts.
You show your *** when you have no class
By his own admission, he's mentally unsure of his ability to avoid re-injury to the ankle that had the high ankle sprain. In addition to that, his activity is being closely monitored to ensure he won't overdo his return to action. I'm not really expecting him to return to "full throttle" until this season is almost over. High ankle sprains are nororiously tough to recover from. The risk of re-injury is typically a nagging one.
The "yeah but Ronnie Lott had hit own finger (partially) cut off to play" mantra is just so unbelievably overused. A little part of me dies everytime I see it....
No kidding. That and the Jack Youngblood played with a broken leg thing, but that was way way back.
we should start calling old people Generation Back-In-My-Day because they're obsessed with "how much better" things were "back in the day." It's pretty much just revisionist nonsense, but don't let that stop them!
Why do people feel the need to start a new thread for every Cowboy related thought they have going on in their head?
Gregory is a rookie coming off an injury that tends to linger. They're slowing him back in. That. is. all. After every game someone starts a thread on each player on the team saying "What's up with ____________?!" His current lack of production is far from a mystery if you use just a little bit of critical thinking.
he's a rookie playing 15 snaps a game because of an injury that tends to linger a while, but suddenly we have morons here declaring him mentally weak while eating cheetos at their computer. once again, you people never cease to amaze me. the amount of things you think you know that you have absolutely no idea about is baffling. trust me, you are not nearly as intelligent or "in the know" as you apparently think you are.
Lol I love how tough guys on the web call an NFL player soft. The other day someone called Sean soft for not being able to play through a concussion. A high ankle sprain is not something to mess around with. The Cowboys are doing the right thing bringing him back slowly. They should be able to get more from him down the stretch.
High ankle sprains can be worse than a break.
You'll read next summer about how excited he us to truly be back 100% from that injury.
Yeah.
What happened to the rub some dirt in it football players?
I saw Steve DeBerg have a rod shoved in a broken finger.......on the sideline.
He's a typical modern athlete. Can't play through an injury. And when he does play he's ineffective. Not mentally tough enough to make a difference.

I'm serious. What's so dumb about it?
Players today may be bigger but they damn sure ain't tougher than older players. There's very few players in the league today that are mentally tough enough to play through injuries and still influence the game. Tony Romo is one of them. Randy Gregory is not
Ronnie Lott had the end of his finger cut off so he could play in the super bowl. Jack Youngblood played super bowl 14 with a broken leg. Heck Emmitt clinched the division with a separated shoulder.
Randy Gregory can't even get a QB hurry with a sprained ankle he suffered 2 months ago
