Ronnie Lott had the end of his finger cut off so he could play in the super bowl. Jack Youngblood played super bowl 14 with a broken leg. Heck Emmitt clinched the division with a separated shoulder.

Randy Gregory can't even get a QB hurry with a sprained ankle he suffered 2 months ago

we should start calling old people Generation Back-In-My-Day because they're obsessed with "how much better" things were "back in the day." It's pretty much just revisionist nonsense, but don't let that stop them!

Morris Claiborne has played with a separated shoulder, too.

and tons of players play through tons of injuries every single week these days. players are bigger, stronger, and faster than ever before, therefore causing more damage to each other than ever before.

yes, there were players back in the 60s and 70s who didn't play their best after coming off an injury. they weren't all mythological warriors.

Part of our problem is both Gregory and Lawrence are built more for the RDE spot, and Hardy, our best pass rusher is actually better suited for the LDE spot because he's got the bulk to hold up vs. the run. I'm not sure why we don't play Hardy on the left, where he's better than Lawrence vs. the run, and let him work against the weaker of the two OT pass blockers. Then keep Gregory and Lawrence rushing from the right side. I think that would work better.
The best rotation we have, however, is probably Hardy on the right and Mincey on the left.

I agree with this.

Right, continue to spew your old, senile man nonsense. *shakes fist*
again, provide any kind of evidence whatsoever for your claims or admit it's just a "feeling" of yours with no basis.

I wonder if Rod is having some issues with getting Hardy and Gregory on the fielt together sceme wise.

Unless Gregory is hurt worse than we know, it is on Rod to come up with a way to get them on the field at the same time.

I already gave you evidence. And you have proven my point somewhat in this thread. "Oh it's just a game." "The players are bigger, etc."

Pride. It's not just a game when you've got pride. Those players I mentioned had it in spades. Most of today's players don't. Most of them are only playing for a paycheck and could care less about winning and putting it all on the line. Watch the games. There's a lot of "business decisions" being made out there.

I'm surprised I'm getting negative feedback on this from other cowboy fans. This has been a huge problem on our team. Other than our HOF TE and Qb and Dez who are tough as nails.

How many guys have we had the last 5 years that can't play week after week with hamstring injuries or sprained ankles or whatever it may be?

Anybody remember mike Jenkins avoiding contact a few years ago?
