We wont be beating UT with Frantastic at the helm. Hopefully or AD really is oursuing Tuberville and Fran is gone after this season.

They might but they did give up four sacks last night. Your running game rushed for 84 yards on 20 carries.

I'm concerned about that, but don't get caught short thinking that Our OL won't come to play. They may have been dangerously lazy or they may have been resting ..which could account for McNabb scambling as much as he did last night.

Options ...TE, RB, QB option, and WRs (hopefully Stallworth and Brown, but Lewis has stepped up his game along with Baskett).

We'll see how things develop.

There was no need to respond to the original post then, which was 100% about blitzing, or overblitzing if you view it that.

Breaking containment and running from a blitz are two different things

I was responding to the contention the defense was "SLOW."

My original post comment about McNabb was to illustrate how dangerous he is out of the pocket...I.E. "not contained." Why he was out of the pocket is irrelevant to the point he can destroy a team out there. He must be "contained."

Is it your feet planted in the ground or your head in the sand? This isn't that hard HH.

Your OL will have to have a great game IMO. We will see what happens. I like the way our DBs match up with your WRs. Stallworth may not play but if he does, I think we can contain him with Newman. I think that if you hit Brown (RLW) he will lose focus. I have not seen him much in Philly but I know that when he was at Georgia, you could take him out of games if you used your safety to lay the wood on him early. Lewis, to me is just a guy and Baskett, well, I know him very well. He's got great hands and he uses his body well. He can jump well but he can't seperate. The only two who really scare me are LJ and McNabb on offense. Also, your kicker. I think he's a pretty good player. In fact, I know he is.

I'd rather see McNab throw than run. 50/50 chance he bounces the throw unless the receiver is standing in a wheat field. But I hope we do bring a fair amount of pressure, especially early in the game. If he does run I hope Roy knocks that goofy smirk off his face and leaves him doing the dry heaves in the 4th quarter.

If McNabb has as much time this week that Young had, I would be fearful. I think the defense will be much more effective if Ware and Ellis have games that are similar to their performances against Washington.

A bigger question in my mind for this game is whether the Eagles decide to blitz. Last year, Dallas handled it pretty well, but in the past several years, the blitz is what really hurt time and time again. I kind of hope the Eagles do, just because I think Owens and Glenn will tear up the Eagles secondary in the open field.

The key to beating the Eagles is picking up the Blitz. There secondary really does suck. If you can get the ball off, you can have big success against that defense. They can't stop the run either. They are a true live by the blitz, die by the blitz defense IMO.
