What's the last concert you saw?

My friends and I have been talking about doing ACL for YEARS now, but we never go. The lineups at ACLfest always read like a who's who of my favorite bands :(

Hope it cools down for ACL in October. I'm feeling too old to do the all day events in the heat.
You and me both. It tends to start cooling off around late September/early October, so it may be great weather. Or it may be 95 degrees. It seems like they're pushing it back every year. It used to be in mid-September.

I love classic rock music and Aerosmith is still one of my favorite bands. Any word on how Steven Tyler is healing from his fall?
OK but they cancelled the rest of their tour for this year.

Saw Iron Maiden May 21 2008.
Somewhere Back in Time World tour 08-09.
No need to see anything else...unless Bob Sacamano and the 3 Bimbos of the Apocalypse come to town.
I heard they put on a great show.

ZZ Top / Aerosmith..........It was an awesome show
I see Tyler fell off the stag at the Buffalo Chip(Sturgis Ralley) the other day. The show had just begun and they had to take him to Rapid City regional hospital. I live right down the road but the crowds are too crazy during the ralley to fight to see a show.

Last concert - Dave Mathews 2 months ago - next concert - Bruce Springsteen this coming Tuesday and The Black Crowes on Sept. 11.

I saw the Happy Mondays and Psychedelic Furs last night. The lead singer of the Mondays was horrible - he sounded bad and just lacked emotion. Like he was just standing on stage moping. The only thing that somewhat saved their set was their female singer.

The Furs on the other hand were great. Richard sounded like he hasn't lost anything in 25 years and the band was really tight. The sax player in particular was very impressive.

Metallica during their St. Anger tour in Texas Stadium.

Horrible acoustics in that place for a concert btw. Hope Cowboys stadium is better.

Stadium concerts suck no matter what.

Saw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Greek Theatre (LA) last week. Great, high-energy show. Karen O is amazing.

Just got back from The Baseball Project and the Minus 5 (both bands are side projects of REM's Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey). Got to meet them both after the show!

Last concert I saw was a couple of weeks ago, two small bands that I think some of you may like.

One was called Dirty Sweet, they're kind of Southern Rock...

The other one was called Nico Vega, they're more modern and have a female vocalist...

So, you are hitting the ACL festival too, eh?

I will be there later on today only, probably not going to catch you though ;) . I am kinda looking forward to Theivery Corporation. Most of the groups I was targeting cancelled out though. Oh well. Carry your rain gear this weekend.

Im going to see Trey Anastasio in less than a month and am praying the phish at Wrigley rumors are true.
